Let's put it to the test. I will walk around a conservative area wearing an "I'm With Her" or "Feel the Bern" hat, you choose. You will walk around a liberal area wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat. Which of us would get the most grief? Which of us would be assaulted first?
This was already tested in Charlottesville. Liberals got mowed down by white supremacist in a car.

For the record, please don't walk around in a liberal area with a M.A.G.A hat on! This is a thought experiment. I don't want to be responsible for one you guys getting your ass kicked by one of your fellow liberals. To be fair, you probably don't know how dangerous it would be because you probably never saw the video of Democrats beating up on Trump supporters. Your media has a way of hiding things like that from you. Just don't do it!
It's always dangerous to antagonize someone. Violence is always possible from either side. I don't doubt that it has happened on both sides in recent years.
But liberals do have "nonviolence" as a mantra. Most liberals abhor violence and many are even avowed pacifists. I don't see that kind of commitment on the conservative side. That's not to say that one side is inherently more prone to violence, but nonviolent social change seems nowhere to be found in conservative ideology. This is part of why, as a Christian conservative, I identify more closely with the political left.
... and then there are those with both feet in the fantasy world. In Charlottesville Democrats showed up with the expressed goal of violently shutting down the pro-statue rally. They started the violence.
Do you remember the Tea Party rallies? Completely peaceful protesting. All the violent protesting has been coming from the left over the last 10 years. All of it. Clean up your house.
