That has resulted in new Semiconductor Fabs being built in AZ, TX, OH, etc. It takes time, but there was no direct pain to the American people. Long term this will be a massive win for America (jobs, Semiconductor control, infrastructure).

The Inflation Reduction Act pushed for US built cars and renewable energy that helps the US to become more energy independent. Again, NO pain for Americans but a big long term upside.

The new tariffs draw no direct path to the gains that these laws have already begun to deliver. They do, however, cause direct harm to the average American.
