Also keep in mind that no news big news organization (like ESPN) is going to put someone, much less a crew, in this guy's van for the whole journey. It doesn't work that way. Costs too much. This isn't football. Early in this thread, people expressed frustration about "where are the crews?" Not there, and that should be expected. At best, a crew might meet him somewhere, film about 10 minutes and get some nice soundbites. Or, heck, they might just call him. The end.

If his team is who claimed that ESPN, CCTV, LMNOP, or whoever would be covering it, that was just one of those truth-stretches to make it sound good. They will "cover" it very lightly. (Except maybe if the CCTV person really is a friend and has a totally empty schedule for over a month. Unlikely.)

So don't be expecting that to be a source of truth to prove or disprove anything. In either direction.

The Tour de France similar kind of distance (I know its a bit shorter) has very detailed tracking plus lots of them are on Strava and upload daily, I follow most of them. But they have the money for the live tracking. Not sure how much that costs to set up?

I sent FB messages to both Rob Young and 'Kevin' with a bit of assistance over their TomTom software, hopefully one of them will pick up. If not I will report in public.

He has barely covered 5 Miles since crossing the Missouri more than 3 hours ago. At this pace it will be a looooong walk.

I know you're in contact with Rob, so please could I advise a strategy to make all of this negativity dissolve rapidly. First and foremost, some GPS data would be great please.

However, an even quicker win would be a couple of sentences from Rob to confirm:

1. Details of his pro cycling career that he mentions in his book and in interviews.

2. When and where did he run his 30.47 10k and 1.08 half pbs?

It's been a few days now that people have been speculating re the above - if you / he could oblige I know this would take a lot of heat out of this discussion.
