Lifetime residuals plus bonuses, plus income from my insurance biz.
Trump's economy will benefit everyone's wallet for the better. Sleepy Joe failed to do that.
MAGA
Just flat insanity.
What do you think Trump is going to do to actually affect our economy positively? You know that inflation is currently BELOW historic norms, right (not due to anything Biden did either...it's JUST the distance from the end of the pandemic). You know that we are continuing our record streak of an unemployment rate below 5% (5% is considered FULL EMPLOYMENT), right? You know that gas is cheap now, right? $2.31 a gallon can be had in my state...$2.09 in Texas this morning. Stock market at record highs under Biden. More Americans working than ever before under Biden. Higher wages than ever before under Biden. More oil production under Biden than ever before. You know that we have had the best economy in the world post pandemic, right? It is going to be VERY hard for Trump to do better than that. It's not like we're in a recession or anwhere close.
What is your financial situation that you didn't do well under Biden? The only ones who are really having a hard time right now are young people who are having a tough time dealing with housing costs...the ONLY thing right now that is proportionally bad economically in our country...oh, and a topic Kamala Harris thought was important...haven't heard a thing about that from the Orange POS...nope, instead we hear about taking over Greenland and The Panama Canal and Canada and renaming The Gulf of Mexico to The Gulf of America.
Weird that you believe ANY President has the power to make the economy good or bad. I guess GWB just decided to have The Great Recession, huh? Reagan decided that October 1987 would see the largest percentage stock market crash in our nation's history. George Bush, Sr. decided it would be a good idea to have a recession during his term that led to him losing to Clinton. Um...ok.
Back to your task...what is it you think Trump will do to make this economy BETTER?
The sky isn't falling. Trump is incompetent above all other things. He really won't accomplish much. The tariff talk and mass deportations will all be walked back.
He will however, place constant pressure on the Fed regarding interest rates. Rates will move to an artificially low level again, boosting markets. People that have assets will see those assets appreciate.

I hope you are right, but the US president is a very powerful post.
the trumps have 100+ executive orders ready to go. There will be so much in motion that the press and law enforcement can't possibly follow it all. And certainly American citizens won't be able to follow it.
the trumps will fire anyone at DOJ who even MIGHT raise a finger to find crimes in Trumpworld.
the GOP has shown it has no backbone to defend congress or american institutions. the opposite - the GOP is actively trying to destroy american institutions so only Trump is left standing.
We have a very powerful head of state. His toady party controls all pieces of the government.
How much did the local idiots here (JohnSu, Disco, newname) give to that degenerate Guiliani's defense fund?? Trump commanded it, so you know you will always blindly follow.
this goes for you trumpies on LRC. You don't care about the important things. You're little pets who have been taught to care about tiny things like tampons in bathrooms and what footwear some men choose. Morans.
Joe Walsh @WalshFreedom
Reading the Special Counsel’s report on Trump’s criminal efforts to retain power, I’m just profoundly sad. Sad, not bcuz the 130 page report details Trump’s criminal efforts to overturn an American election. No. Sad bcuz the American people don’t care. They. Don’t. Care. And I never thought that would happen here. Not HERE. I never thought THE AMERICAN PEOPLE would be ok with someone who refused to accept election results and then tried to hold onto power. I thought WE would always care about that. But I was wrong. We don’t care. In fact, we just reelected the traitor. That’s why I’m profoundly sad. I just can’t get past the fact that we don’t care.
The election was basically a referendum on what people care about more - their fellow citizen and the future of our great nation, or themselves.
The answer should have been pretty obvious tbh.
Correct. But the AMAZING thing is that it's much worse than just that. It's one thing if lots of Americans pick something arguably less important and/or transient over "important things" (like, say, democracy and lawfulness), BUT the guy they vote for can actually deliver on it/them. Say, picking the "right" SCOTUS members, or appointing the "right" cabinet members, or being more or less muscular overseas, or hundreds of other things clearly under the control of POTUS. Oh, and the person needs to be basically competent, too, of course.
Americans, apparently, voted against democracy and lawfulness because they thought that Donald Trump would "fix" inflation and secure the border. He can't fix the former (and might make it worse), and he won't fix the latter (just like last time, and just like just this past Fall). AND the latter issue won't ACTUALLY impact the vast majority of voters' lives (they were just scared into that because they're idiots).
Summary: Being selfish is one thing. Being dumb and ignorant is another. America has GOT IT ALL.
“Weird that you believe ANY President has the power to make the economy good or bad.”
1) Nope.
2) Even if you are maintaining that agip ALSO believes that a President has the power to make the economy good or bad, my comment would still be that any person who thinks that is weird.
3) You do not know what passive-aggressive means. Here's an example...a woman lets her significant beat the sh!t out of her without resisting because she hopes he will feel extra bad about it later...THAT is passive-aggressive. There is no situation imaginable here in which I was passive-aggressive. Learn the meaning of words and phrases before you use them.
The idea that it's some giga-complex politico-social movement and that Dems are too focused on trans rights is just Dem copium for a brutal lose
It's pretty simple, I think. 3 main groups voting for Trump:
1) Bitter, lower-than-they-think-it-should-income red hatters. Rally fillers.
2) Not low-income, but really receptive, for whatever reasons, to hating liberals. Gary and Sally, perhaps.
3) Extremely low-information voters who don't fully know or appreciate how bad Trump is, know that cereal costs a lot, and for SOME REASON, think that he'll make it better (ditto illegal immigration, perhaps).

Nah not really
mlre complicated than that
poor white people have been voting against what is better for themselves for generations. This is part of that storyline.
trumpies are humiliated by their failure to thrive in the 21c. as a result They want to lash out against the richer citizens as a result. To hurt them. That hurting is their reward. humiliation is one of the greatest motivators in the world. not to improve their own lot but to punish the scapegoats. In this case, Dems.
But you don't win the election with JUST that group.

1) I agree the sky isn't falling...that is if you are talking about TODAY with TODAY'S ecomony considered and still in a Biden Presidency. The sky COULD fall under Trump, but that is yet to be determined.
2) I don't believe the tariff talk will be walked back. He imposed them last time. No reason to think he won't do so again.
3) The mass deportation talk won't be walked back, BUT it may be MUCH harder to accomplish than he thinks, so the reality is that it won't happen on the kind of scale he has suggested...but not because he doesn't want it to. Oh, and no matter the level of deportations (there are deportations under ALL Presidencies, and Obama was dubbed, "the deporter-in-Chief"), Trump will tout, lie, exaggerate the level of deportations.
4) I don't think pressure from Trump will make The Fed do anything.
5) The Fed actually SHOULD lower rates now though. The economy has been screaming along, and the unemployment rate is not at the absurdly low rates of mid 3% anymore. Yes, that will boost the stock market, but that's what SHOULD happen. I don't need it to boost markets for me personally, and I don't care that it would be a talking point that helps Trump. I ONLY care about what SHOULD be, and right now, The Fed should start to aggressively lower rates. That benefits Americans, especially those wanting to buy a home, and we're in a position to have those lower rates.

Point of clarification: We don't REALLY have to wonder why Gary is so receptive to hating liberals. It's a needed psychic counterbalance to his uncomfortable need to think about Trump and the border Neanderthal (and Putin?) without shirts on.

Sure the sky could fall. But why live in fear of such an event? I'm just not going to listen to 99.9% of what he says. He's a blowhard.
Trumpers spent the last 4 years claiming everything was the worst, just because Biden was in charge. Their claims didn't line up with reality. The truth is the US economy thrived under Biden, compared to the rest of the world. You'll never be able to convince the die hard Trumpers of that fact.
Why make the same mistake they make? Why assume everything is awful, just because Trump is now in charge?
absolutely hilarious that trump has been caught misunderstanding tariffs but it's too late to change so he stays with that.
Cap'n Epstein once thought tariffs were paid by foreign nations, so he can't ever change his mind on that. This porn star bonker will keep insisting tariffs are paid by other nations until his dying breath because you know never show weakness or backtrack.
