Exactly! Broken and dysfunctional economies have high tariffs. You go to the stores and they are mostly empty. And you select between 1-2 brands because there is no variety or selection. Lead times can be months.
The reason everyone wants to do business in the US is because of the laws, regulation and free markets. Trump is imitating dysfunctional and under performing economies believing that the world will still want to do business here.
