Mike Ashton took a position at Penn State coaching vertical jumps. Army asks a lot of their assistants, mandating they call 200 recruits per month, has to take a toll. Average coaching tenure as an assistant at Army is less than 2 years.
200 a month? Thats 7 recruits a day. How is that even a reasonable expectation? Who can coach and have that many conversations (let alone keep track of) with that many people a day/month? Thats a full time job in itself.
Source?
I was a finalist for an assistant position in 2021. The 200 number was asked of me then. At the time I thought I would've been able to crush that. I remember being bitter that I didn't get the job but looking at how much I recruit now I can't imagine hitting 200 a month and I am glad I didn't get the job.
Is the UC Davis job open again??? Looking like it is
Will they actually post it this time? Or will it be like a few weeks ago and just hire someone and pick the worst possible person that is on a drug suspension?

Are you just bitter they passed over you every time a job has been posted there recently?

Nope just hoping for something better for the program then a temp head coach that is banned for drugs.
You’re lying at this point. It’s giving hater, and you mad you didn’t get the position. She got it, you didn’t, work harder at the next spot. And I have a feeling I know who you are, so please chill on the lies on here. Go touch grass and thank God for your next opportunity.
Hc at Center Pointe leaving mid season for a corporate career with Adidas. Clayton really built the program up the last 5 years. Could be a good place to pick up where he left off and move up. Decent pay and benefits.

Thinking about applying at a small faith based naia or d3 but not super religious. Anyone have experience with this? The app says they are looking for a strong faith background. Any tips?
Confess your sins to Jesus Christ and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. That will be the beginning of your faith statement and eternal life. Win Win.

I'm at a small Christian D3 school and it has been wonderful. I was Christian prior to arriving here but my faith has grown tremendously by being surrounded by fellow believers. Even if you're not very religious right now, this could be a sign the Holy Spirit is working in your heart and it may be where the Lord wants you to go.
Scheving leaving to go back to Buffalo this past week puts Canisius in a tough position. Downstream effects from Witzleben leaving Buffalo for Manhattan. None of the assistants at Canisius seem willing or able to step up into the full-time head coach role. Will be interesting to see what direction they go in. Low pressure environment for a newer/younger coach trying to get their feet wet at the D1 level.
OK Mizzou hires a jumps coach, hurray! So when will this program be as good as they were back in the 70s. That's almost 50 years. Seems to me they haven't done anything since Bob Teel retired.
With all the athletic talent in St Louis and Kansas City, why is Mizzou still in the bottom of the SEC and no sight of improving? With the transfer portal, there is no more excuses.
Is the head coach just collecting a pay check?
Give Mizzou head Coach a break, He got NCAA Xc nationals to come to Columbia!!!
Huh? How do you know the head track coach got NCAA XC to Columbia? Prob the Head XC Coach and or City of Columbia or the Sport AD. Not Brett Halter come on!
