The USPS loses money every year. It lost almost $10 billion last year. The status quo obviously is not working. Maybe stirring things up a bit might help things there. Too much complacency - take a whack at the bee hive.
Since when is delivering the mail, a government service, supposed to be a profit sentence?
How much money does our Defense Dept make? Negative $1 trillion per year?
Wow, we might agree on some things. Shocking.
To play devil's advocate, if we are seriously going after government waste, DoD is THE place to look.
Non-citizens here who are actually found to have legitimate criminal associations or to be guilty of violent crimes should be deported to their country of origin.
We would object if China recklessly labeled hundred of Americans in their territory as criminals without trial and deported them to prisons in North Korea.

Should they be deported if those crimes happened here? Or only if those crimes were committed before they arrived in the USA?

that's the real question - will trump get cuts from the places that matter: entitlements and the DoD.
All this job cutting in the discretionary budget makes good headlines and makes m'aga feel great because libs will do some crying, but it doesn't do much of anything to cut government spending.
only thing that can move the needle there is entitlements and defense.
Will trump go after that? I hope so.

Funny. But you do have to admit that Trump Gaza is a great, out of the box proposal. By proposing something so out of the ordinary, setting that as the baseline, it puts us in a great spot for peace and prosperity in the Middle East. If Trump could redevelop Gaza as something he'd own (or something the US would own), it'd be safe because it'd be ours (no country would dare attack it, nor would terrorism be tolerated) and we could profit from it.
But what I'd aomeone decided to attack Gaza then? Would every NATO country have to spend their tax money on another war they did not want? Like the one in Afghanistan?
At most, their country will become rubble. If anywhere dares attack America's / Trump's redevelopment of Gaza, we will respond back with a vastly disproportionate response so that they never do such a thing again.

Unless it was Israel. Let's be real. US govt helped cover up the attack on the USS Liberty
Everybody deserves healthcare. if you get in a car accident due to negligence, if you drink too much, if you get heart issues due to too many jabs, whatever.
That sounds like you don't agree that only people who have money should be able to afford healthcare. Refreshing take!
How do you feel about cuts to HHS? These will affect American's access to healthcare. What about cuts to the VA so those who served can't get healthcare? What about cuts to research for diseases?
BadHombre? Do you read any actual news? There was a near zero percent chance dems would win in FL. Republicans could have run a turnip with a maga cap and still won, though the dem challengers still did better than in the Nov election. WI was a beating for republicans, worse than most estimates.
Maybe not worth reading too much into it. But it is not a sign of Trump an republicans gaining ground.

We don't have to feel sorry for what NATO countries did in Afghanistan. Everyone pretty much (or entirely) did what they WANTED to do. Some did a lot, some did next to nothing (if memory serves, on the second part).

Gaining ground? If anything they've lost ground with the limited information we've seen so far. My guess is neutral but anyone thinking the GOP has gained any ground is clueless.
