truthseakr is an idiot. The fact that republicans don't have the votes to pass a bill on their own means they have to work with democrats to get a bill passed, they're refusing to do that. They could bring a bill to the floor tomorrow that would get the support of a majority of republicans and enough democrats to pass, but they won't do it. Instead they are insisting on a bill that the democrats don't support and then blaming the democrats for not supporting it. Most people see right through this BS which is why Trump and the republicans are getting blamed for the shutdown.

Trump just doesn’t care about the truth or what he’s said in the past. He just says whatever he thinks will help him in that moment and it doesn’t matter to him at all if what he says is true or not, or if he said the exact opposite thing in the past. The unique thing is that no other politician in the world could get away with the amount of lies he does - and the only reason he gets away with it is because his supporters don’t care about truth. I think he could get all of his fans to drink poisoned kool aid and even tell them it was poisoned before they drank it and they’d still drink it if he told them too. Crazy times.

Who gets blamed for this shutdown doesn't matter because November is so far away, this shutdown will be totally out of voters minds by then.

Something else will impact the vote on that day.

Republicans proved this in 2013.

They were clearly to blame for that shutdown. They wanted to defund the ACA which was about to go in effect.

They got some small concession but the ACA went into effect two months later.

But Republicans had gains in the 2014 midterms despite them being blamed for the 2013 shutdown.

Democrats are running the Republican playbook right now.

Now is when they have leverage to pass DACA.

The March 5 DACA expiration is meaningless to Republicans.

Other than Trump, they don't care about the stupid wall.

They would gladly let DACA expire in exchange for no wall.

They want Hispanics out of this country now!

So if the Dems want DACA to become law, this shutdown is the only leverage they have.

Their approach has been a multi-pronged effort from making direct contributions, to creating tax free think tanks, to owning major media outlets, to even providing conservative grants and training opportunities for students and judges.

Where do you think the citizens United ruling emanated from. Where do you think this tax plan came from. Where do you think getting rid of estate taxes came from.

This is a very powerful, well organized group. Richard Mellon Scaife, the koch brothers just to name a couple. Most of you have NO idea what you are dealing against. Soros is peanuts compared to this very powerful group.

These billionaires are extremely driven to protect what they think is theirs and to protect their legacy. They play to win. The middle class are like third world people to them. They can't relate and don't really care.
