I was indicating the hypocrisy of someone claiming other people are clearly not “peace-loving” because of things they say online when he himself has a history of saying things online that look like sowing hate and division or having an unsavory interest in acts of violence.
(note: I’m saying hypocrisy; I’m not saying that the targets of that guy’s criticism are above reproach).

Wrong. Just take a look at a poll from april: "The Network Contagion Research Institute, along with Rutgers University, found that 55% of self-identified left-of-center respondents said that it was at least somewhat justified to murder President Trump. Forty-eight percent said the same of Elon Musk."
This is not a fringe belief like you say, it is main stream on the left.
You would never have close to these numbers on the right. This is not a both sides problem. The left is evil and in my experience only the older boomers don't understand this.
I know plenty of normal, honorable, peace-loving Republicans and Democrats. To a person, when they look on at bloodshed like this, they are horrified.
When people online raise the specter of possible civil war, they denounce such talk as dangerous and think how awful it would be for any such violence to occur.
When they face talk of civil war, I’ve never heard one of them discuss their potential participation. I’ve certainly never heard them specify categories of whom they plan to kill. And they definitely don’t spell out detailed scenarios about how they’ll carry out the killing.

This is actually pretty funny. When the Minnesota state senators got wacked... Trumpers were at best... cavalier about it. They didn't give a rat's patoot about the victims. All they were worried about was trying to convince themselves and the rest of MAGA that the Trump supporting wacko was actually a liberal.
And the Paul Palosi thing? Where he got his skull bashed. He was fodder for jokes and conservatives lapped it up... including the Trumps themselves.

It's definitely frustrating since this is the best site for finding running news- it was the easiest place to find the World Champs schedule and streaming.
