Another one of theirs with a great rif is Waterfall.
A friend I knew in college had a version of it where half way through it playes the whole thing but in reverse somehow. It was some techno thing and sounded ethereal (sp?) and cool as hell. Wish I could find a version. That good.
"Don't Stop" snd "Waterfall" were both featured on The Stone Roses eponymous debut album. The album was a force of nature to anyone in college in the early 90's (released in 1989). The UK version ends on pure jam band perfection with "I Am the Ressurection:"
The album feature seven (!) singles out of 11 tracks (12 in the US) Not among them is "This is the One," probably the greatest song about anticipation ever written:
That song is played by Manchester United st home soccer matches as its official anthem. Lead singer Ian Brown's sons hate it. He is always quick to remind them that the song paid for the seats that they enjoyed the match in.
Some music critics consider "The Stone Roses" to be the greatest album ever recorded. Even cynical US critics who hate English music consider it to be a very good album. If you have never heard it played from beginning to end, then you are missing out.
