Fiscal year ends tomorrow. Highly unlikely that anyone from any of these programs is worthy of moving up to P5 assistant or any level head coach jobs. If something is opening up shortly, that probably means someone is retiring or getting the axe.

Queens distance goes to Kevin licht from Anderson. Interesting that he goes from director of a program to XC head and assistant track. Seems like a step back.
I'm guessing... that would be a pay cut for him.

The team has talent on both sides of the program (men/women) including a host of guys who have dipped under 15 for 5k, one who has run 14:27, and another sub 3:50 guy (this is all with poor coaching). I will tell you with 100% assurety that Admins commitment to the team financially is and will be staying the same as it has been. The fact the men have some talent is fortunate but not sustainable with 2.5 to work with. The women's side is graduating their two best and only have one returner who is decent. The women's team also has 2.5 scholarships to work with and that simply will not be able to get it done. MAYBE with a hell of a recruiting coordinator or coach you could stay marginally competitive but the other schools in the WAC have more money and will win out in the end. The currrent coach on staff is well liked by the athletes and has coached some talent however the problem lies in the lack of money for the program- there is NO CHANCE to field a competitive track team- therefore taking any scholarship away from the 2.5 and splitting XC/TF would make both sports exceptionally poor. Seattle U needs to become a distance program and needs a healthy endowment of money to increase scholarships. All of this makes this position much less desirable than you think.

The ship sinking because of the captain.Dennis Shavers is not Pat Henry,Robert Johnson or Mouse Holloway. He is just a glorified assistant coach that caught a break. He needs to go back to football. The glory days of LSU are a thing of the past.

You also say a school who is going to nationals year in and year out(and usually winning) has no pressure or expectations, when your school has zero pressure and minimal expectations to be 13th at a regional meet in XC and can't win a watered down Big East meet in track. Go home and train harder, so you don't have to feel threatened by "DIII cowards who have inferiority complex that is laughable"

Really interesting hire at BU. Are men/women fully funded ? I doubt it but under the right circumstances BU could be a CC power. We shall see?
