The 273 days of training phase II. 19mwp+85mhc+ 17mcd=121 minutes for this morning.I can sit behind the young boys for a while and I'm really benefiting with the speed with these guys.
Keep on guys-Group training is great as the kenyans do-when preparing for world X-country.
National Coach Mike Kosgei training plans is working over here with me. I have it in hand. This is ISI program and I'm proud of it.
We have two sections a day for five days a week. Saturday one section and sunday off.

when your book comes out, you should have one of the places available to buy it, on Letsrun; that would help you and help letsrun.com ,stay in business.
Henry,
I'm not trying to be simplistic here, but if you're trying to break the world record for one mile, why are you using such a large training volume? Wouldn't shorter, more intense workouts be better?
Anyways, good luck in your quest.

My evening went so great 60 minutes drills and form movements with some sprints.
For your question, Why are you using such a large volume?
The answer is very simple. The mile record is deep down the hole and to get into it is not easy as people have it in their minds.
It is not on top of the service or the skin.It is attach by the tendonts, bones and by the time you get to muscles is later. So how should I get into those areas? You tell me.Please be honest to me.No head games now.I love running it is in my blood, please dont take me wrong.I wise I have a short cut to mile record unfortunately I got to go this way.
The guys I coach now they see the light on my face, when it comes to running with my day-to-day progress. When it comes to running it is a light bolt to me.
You talk about something else I'm in dark world.
You talk about running I'm in light world.
keep coming back you question is an enlightment to many.

www.authorhouse.comBy talking to Vid,he can speed up the wheels very fast and the book will be out in a month, but few more photos from Oslo are missing that is one the delaying factors to this book.
We are getting there,I think the book also is waiting my shape too.The day world record mile is coming is the book is coming. How is that sound to you?
Henry
If we order it from Letsrun.com site can we get it autographed by you, like Kenny Moore did with his book about Coach Bowerman and the Men of Oregon?
Will you be doing any book signings in So. Cal this summer? (maybe when you are here for a big race or something?)

I'm making list of places to visit in the country at the same time appearing for book signing and racing starting next month and May touring across the nation-Europe.For the entire year.Oregon is most important place for me in the US I can get there one way or the other. In most cases the meet directors do get me around very fast than I do on my own.I'm spoil kid in running community.
On the other hand I will be autographing from home base and sent out after I get the check with your address. The same way I have been doing with autographers lately.
Henry
great! I'll come to see you run some big masters race in so. california this summer and buy a signed book from you too.

Henry,
I know there is no shortcut for the mile record. I was just wondering if you ever thought about using abbreviated training (like Roger Bannister). But maybe the larger volume training works better for you personally.
At any rate, keep up the good work!

How Roger Bannister abbreviated is training?
Henry
From what I read in Bannister's book, he trained around 35 minutes at lunchtime most days of the week. Most of this was interval training, quarter-mile repeats.
He also ran about 70+mpw in his base preparation. When school was heavy, he cut it back.
Besides, a lot of guys have run much faster.
I don't think "cutting it back" is a correct description. When did he run 70mpw in base? In this interview, he said that he was performing mainly interval training for several years before he set the world record:
that is a 'young mans training'; alot of fast intervals as a steady diet.
70mpw for Bannister? First time I ever heard that. Source please.
Also Henry are you down to 145 lbs yet? Thanks.

We are heading to Academy track now this afternoon;however,my method of training on my second workout is the form similar to those great high speed sprints.
Short sprints and arm form is the same as racing in high speed.
This is how I teach my runners and it works. There is a results at the end of the season and we can geeeeet iiiit!
This is how I prepare my intervals. It is in state of mental focus preparation before I hit the intervals.I have to make preparation for those ugly joints in meeee!!!
This is how I do it instead of surprise my body. It will lead to injuries. You heard meeee! I know you diiiiiid!!!
