I just read her bio. I’d say she’s qualified for the position. I think her experience is pretty good.

She hasn't even coached her own group. She's been watching another coach. She's never made a decision or led her own training group. Now she's running a division 1 program? Ridiculous

I think she worked up. Prior to Michigan and UGA, she (coached) at a lower level. She's good for it.

Were you there at any of her coaching positions to know what she did or didn't do? I had my own training group as DII graduate assistant which is basically a volunteer position, so you're criticizing experience without a clue.
I think it says more about how they feel about who they didn't hire than it does about her. Whether she's terrible or amazing remains to be seen. The fact that they didn't offer the position to any of the assistants, one of which who has head coach experience, is pretty telling.

(I’m a young coach) if I were still an athlete being recruited and you’ve coached 6 years at 5 different places why would I want to complete for you? Do these schools like opening up interviews and hiring every year?
It’s not just this location it’s the job as a whole, we reward these “journeymen” for job hopping claiming accolades built on the backs of previous coaches, never recruiting, developing, or showing any self ability it’s a joke in this career. I would bet money that a coach of 5+ years at a D2/D3/NAIA or even an assistant at a D1 applied for that job and didn’t even get an email back saying they weren’t selected for an interview. I’ve seen her career develop I’m sure she’s nice, I’m sure she’s made a lot of friends and shaken a lot of hands, but I read a post claiming All-Americans and other things when she hasn’t even unpacked her kitchen in most these places she’s “worked” at.
Let’s try supporting instead of being mad about someone you don’t even know grow up this is beyond childish if you feel like she did not deserve the job why did you not apply yourself or if you applied why didn’t you get the job that’s what this program needs fresh blood so let’s sit back and watch her turn this program around and prove all you haters #coachcharnayisupport you

It's crazy you say that about a 5+ year coach at D2... Their hire previously helped build a D2 program from 2016-22....
You’re a young coach, you will understand soon that it’s all about business. You have no idea why ppl leave places to go somewhere else. If you want those positions, do the work and stop hating on others opportunities. I’ve been in this world for 12 plus years, D1/D2. It’s a career you choose because you love it. Network more, coach more, and then maybe those opportunities will come and you can move up! Nevertheless, stop hating on others that worked their butt off to get a chance.
Ryland coached at Lee U for 6 years and built it up. 2 years at Michigan doing a great job before UGA came calling. Now an opportunity to be the boss and here come the haters.

Is this the former assistant Coach? Y’all come on she help turn Lee into a legitimate D2 powerhouse. She did an interview like everyone else. Instead of pointing fingers point that same finger at yourself. I applied for it and I was passed over and you don’t see me bashing. Work harder and get better. Now back to the regular program, what jobs are still open??

I’ve been roasted on this board more than once. Many people on this thread are good coaches interested in staying in the loop, but there’s also a handful of bitter know-it-alls who bash everyone and everything. Don’t pay them any mind. There’s not an AD on earth who cares what some anonymous troll posts on Letsrun.
OK Mizzou hires a jumps coach, hurray! So when will this program be as good as they were back in the 70s. That's almost 50 years. Seems to me they haven't done anything since Bob Teel retired.
With all the athletic talent in St Louis and Kansas City, why is Mizzou still in the bottom of the SEC and no sight of improving? With the transfer portal, there is no more excuses.
