I keep trying to explain it, but you guys just don't get it.

What changed is that Republicans/conservatives saw that they were playing by the Marquis of Queensbury rules, while Democrats/liberals played dirty. We held our people to a higher standard... and we kept getting beat. So we decided to play by Dem/lib rules and hired a world class bar room brawler to get in the fight and take your guys out. It worked. Simple stuff.

That's what changed.

Yes, Republicans have held themselves to SUCH high standards over the years. That's why the adulterous Newt Gingrich spearheaded the effort to remove Clinton from office for receiving a bj. That's why Republicans promoted a child molester to serve as speaker of the house for eight years. But my memory only goes so far back. Can you tell us which Republicans have been unreasonably held to higher standards and which Democratic politicians were discovered to be adulterers and not subsequently dragged over the coals?
