Especially considering that Trump has declared them as a national emergency and has enacted a war powers that haven't been used since WW2. One would think that the Trump admin would readily be making that available to the US citizens if they had the truth on their side.

Tren de Aragua has a significant presence in South and Latin America. It started out as a prison gang in Venezuela and then fanned out to other countries as Venezuela went into an economic crisis in the late 2010s. The gang is mainly into smuggling drugs, human trafficking, extortion and prostitution.

In the US, there really isn't much evidence of a well organized TdA presence like you would find in Chile, Colombia or Peru. There is some evidence that TdA is running cocaine into the US and has committed some street crime in Venezuelan immigrant communities. But much of the hype around TdA is manufactured as every time a Venezuelan immigrant is caught committing a crime, the authorities accused them of being in TdA. In Aurora, CO, the apartment complex that claimed to be overrun by TdA was actually just trying to come up with an excuse for its failure to maintain its premises and avoid liability for not providing habitable premises for its residents. And Trump just made up a claim that Laken Riley's murderer was in TdA.
