How did you even get all this data? Did you scroll through years of his Strava history? Or have you been obsessively noting it down over the years? I don't know which option makes you a bigger dork.
Why is reviewing training of other runners being a "dork"?
Isn't that what people do when they watch these YouTubers? Look at their training and see what to follow/avoid?
I know this thread is here mostly to dunk on shoetubers, however I think it is appropriate to mention some good work that I've recently came across:
Michael Ottesen's result, 2:15:40 for a 2 and half minute PB in CIM, and The Distance Project, probably the best YouTube channel for people who like athletics covering the European Cross Country Championships - pure video gold!
It is not all about the money from the shoe & supplement companies, some people truly love running and make great content about it!

The podcast that he does is kinda interesting too, especially in that he very obviously doesn't care about calling out other YouTubers and even his cohosts for being stupid. Get the feeling he doesn't like Bester and his insights on UK elites, and YouTube elites is good. Goes to camp locations at the same time as people like Anya Culling and seems to suggest that she's not a hugely serious athlete

Callum is an a$$ though he just dunked on Ben is Running the whole time on the ill-fated Run it 3 Ways podcast which stopped then started then stopped again. But I have no doubt Anya is not a serious athlete. She's not a serious person in general. Out from under Nick Bester but likely not to hit the kinds of bordering on elite times she reached under him when she was burying herself.
I also wonder what Runna think about Anya giving away a bunch of coaching spots for London next year.
Seems to suggest someone they employ as a full time coach is gonna be somewhat AWOL in the near future. If I'm a Runna subscriber and believe (probably wrongly) that Anya has a part to play in my marathon plan for London I'd be wondering if the value im getting is going down but I'm not getting it cheaper
Yeah I follow Anya on Strava and IG and she seems to spend a large mount of her time travelling round the world to exotic locations enjoying herself and living a lifestyle most can only dream of.Have no problem with this good luck to her but when people say what an amazing dedicated athlete she is am not convinced. She has said in the past she has lost her love of running and since achieving her impressive London time of 2.36 in 2022 her times have been erratic at best. She seems to put having a good time above furthering her running career.

Anya probably knows that getting from a 2:36 marathon to close to a 2:20 time requires an insane amount of work and sacrifices, which is why she’d rather travel the world, coach as an influencer, and leverage her 130k Instagram followers. I might even do the same if I were her—especially if I didn’t have a strong passion for competing.
That’s not running and definitely not ‘nice’ unless you’re over 70 and morbidly obese.
Kuntfuzied has literally never learned how to run and now says in that video, “at 45, my PR days are behind me”. He thinks that because pros are done in their 40’s after squeezing every drop from the lemon for decades, he must be too after jogging around with a selfie stick for a few years…..What an idiot.
Given that Culling wasn't even in the sport about 4 years ago ( she discovered it to help mental health during Covid, what a unique and inspiring narrative that always is) let alone a coach then her giving away coaching spots is probably a fair deal to both parties.
This guy. This MF keeps me up at night. If Herm has no haters, I am dead.
Saucony is paying this clown to eat donuts and be fat at races. This guy was licking Cheeto Dust off his computer keys last year this time. A study on the brains of Saucony's marketing team needs to be done- they are either brain dead or genius.

I had no idea existed, but now I join you in haterdom 🙏🏻
Like Callum and think while he does speak out a bit more than other athletes hes still remarkably polite as i guess he has a deal with Hoka to consider.
The podcast generally has friendly banter but he does occaisionally say that some of this things Ben does is potentially risky. I think i always assume that Influencers will ultimately have to damage their health as their content is their life so if your injured as a runner then you wont make any money.
The last few believe in the run podcasts have been real gems. Robbe saying he'll pace a sub 4 group in chicago then running a 4:30+ was great. Then discussing with thomas their yearly mileage totals and robbe in disbelief that Thomas outran him 2000 something to 1000 something. Meanwhile Meaghan ran 3000+ and of course that doesn’t even get mentioned.
How can someone whose job it is to test shoes, travel to races, etc. run less than 1400 miles in a year?
