Looks like time for a walk down memory lane to review the worst, most unhinged, most uninformed takes on this story from the first 20 pages. No surprise, but there's a lot of familiar names here.
But let's welcome a newcomer, fitz.
Then there's the tag team duo of Jamin...
...immediately echoed by his slightly slower alt, Koko the Gorilla.
Not to be outdone, Ghost of Disco Gary took the disinformation campaign and ran with it.
In second place for our resident stopped clock, here's TheAdultInTheRoom.
I'd say it's high time for an admission, beginning with TheAdult himself. An admission of ignorance, or to a secure facility. Take your pick.
But nothing quite beats the premature crowing of Kobbs Hessler.
This thread definitely put people on record and illustrated some sad things about society, just not the things KH thought. Pretty much the opposite, actually. The praise for "Internet sleuths" rockets this revealing comment all the way into first place for absolute worst, most humiliating mistake on this whole thread.
Remember, kids: Don't believe a word these people say. They're either paid for this garbage, or they can't even tell the difference between fact and fiction anymore.
With DePape's sentencing comes a great opportunity to highlight the starting lineup of LRC's deluded conspiracy team (see post above). Those posters who prove themselves half-insane tin-foiled nutters every day, did us the favor of gathering together in one thread, and post just about every insane, naive and stupid idea that any whacko person could post.
It's too much work to list all the inconsistent, ever-changing, reality-defying conspiracy theories they have in the 80+ pages (e.g., some of them think the hammer attack on the old man was actually a planned false flag operation to win an election), but anyone interested in what propaganda, frustration and naiveite can do to the human mind should skim through this memorable thread.
Just want to add that DePape apologized in court today and of course has confessed. Where are the Russian trolls, I mean, lying conspiracy theorists now? Have you no shame? (Haha, that was a rhetorical questions because of course you don't). Newname? Kobbs Hessler? Jamin? Disco Gary? Adult? Koko? Anyone? Buehler?
POLITICAL VIOLENCE: The attack on Paul Pelosi is cited as an example of right-wing political violence. What the Democrats won't tell you about David DePape is that he was an illegal alien who voted illegally for socialist candidates, his life partner is an LGBTQ Russian immigrant named Oxane “Gypsy” Taub, and his home featured BLM and LGBTQ signs and flags. David was NOT a product of the right - he was an insane person protected by Democrat sanctuary city policies. Despite being arrested and deportable - he was repeatedly released without prosecution or deportation.
The best thing about this thread is capturing on record all the people who instantly believed the (obvious) lie that this was some kind of right wing terrorist assault. It was not that. The police scanner audio is the smoking gun that Paul knew David and the visit was consensual.
The sad part is how many people both here, in the broader media, and around the county bought this fake story hook, line, and sinker and ran with it.
The infuriating part about this story is how a national leader can be so poisonous that she would deliberately push a false narrative, knowing full well how it would play out across the country.
The good news is that Internet sleuths (definitely NOT the mainstream media) needed less than a day to pick apart the lie. It'll take a while for the truth to seep out to the masses, but that seepage is ongoing and picking up steam.
As for Paul's predilections, "not that there's anything wrong with that."
Thanks for the bump. Hadn't thought about this thread in nearly three years. Hilarious to go back and read the nonsense posted in the few days after the incident.
As usual on this board with anything political, the truth got more downvotes than upvotes.

There are nuts on the far left. There are nuts on the far right. This guy is just plain nuts.
My legit favorite thing about the left is their utter lack of self-awareness.
Please never change.
And the legit worst thing about the right is they don't believe in democracy, thus having a total lack of... awareness. Or you're just a Nazi. I'm thinking the latter.

Your posts in this thread were among the most demented. We could go over them, and maybe we will if we find the time. You bought every weirdo counter-factual conspiracy theory you read on Twitter and posted them here, including that the attack on Paul Pelosi was a false flag to gather sympathy for Nancy Pelosi in her election bid. Your utter lack of self-awareness of the whacko stuff you posted is our favorite thing. Please never change.
