Man.. Seth’s videos have terrible view counts the last few days… are we gonna see him whining about in a few days?
Thanks to all of the LRC commenters his view counts are higher than they should be. At this point his channel is totally unwatchable. I watch a bunch of different youtube channels and his is by far the worst.
Tomorrow will be another stupid battle, something pointless like Hoka Evo Mafate 3 vs Nike Dragonfly road marathon shoe battle with comments “hey Seth love the channel I’m 280 and 52 years old running my first 5k which shoe would be best?”
As much as I love trolling Seth, according to Socialblade, on any given day, it seems his older videos net more views than the day's new vlog. He got 24k views per day in July, but if you scroll through July's videos, lots have less views than that.
How long has seth been injured, and why isn’t he doing pool running or other cross training videos? doesnt he care about mitigating his fitness decline?

I'll fess up to watching the video where he talked about his injury, but I refuse to click on any of his shoe videos.
💡one more shoe battle idea.... go 👇 road or trail.......on Twitter SJD is asking the flock for ideas.....doesn't look like this shoe trend is going to end anytime soon.....lazy, lazy, lazy.

You'd have to be a real athlete who cares about performance (and not their own $$$ or Ego) to do this. Seth doesn't fit this category, unless it will clearly give him a $ yield. Also, the number of kids he has is insane. How much is it costing the state to educate those lil guys/gals? Would he be getting welfare payments? Where I'm from, he'd be getting a fair bit of cash for such a large crew. Seems a bit selfish on his behalf.
👉THANK YOU for picking up your running shoes from the "DeMoor Global Running Store". You are supporting this channel's video creation by using the Running W...

I actually rely on this thread to digest the videos for me. I cannot handle watching his videos because he just hems and haws, teasing the tiny bit of content that will be coming up soon. 12 min video for 20 seconds of content, I would actually give him a view if it were actually enjoyable in any way to watch his videos.
Seths biggest mistake was to only have members on discord. All the commentary is on Discord and not in the comment area on YouTube. The lack of engagement on the actual channel is killing the channel.
His work is gross. He sounds like a failed running pastor.
^ this.
the really f-ed up part of this is that he's tapped into this group of people who so want this type of evangelical pastor leader-type and seek his attention and approval. Probably in part from this thread, he's recognized this and started actually responding to their comments recently, which probably will go a long way with some of these people who are really devouring this parasocial dynamic. bring a barfbag

Seth has no idea how youtube works. From what I gathered over the last weeks on his channel, I also think he doesn't really know how running works either.
But he is the prime cinematographer when it comes to shots from inside his fridge or cupboard.

Most Americans go through public schools. There's close (enough) to a one-to-one relationship between student and taxpayer. The amount of taxes a parent pays while their kids are in school doesn't add up to the actual cost of school while their children are in school.
Basically, you can consider that one person's lifetime of paying taxes is the cost of putting one person through public school. So even though it's not direct, each person pays for their own public school education.
I don't have any kids, but I am happy and think it's my duty that a portion of my taxes goes to paying for public schools (K-12 and universities). After all, I went to public schools for K-12 and my undergraduate college. My public school attendence wasn't in the same state I'm living in now, but it all evens out since there's that one-to-one relationship. His kids will pay taxes that will cover their schooling eventually.

Is this argument robust to time value of money and the way discounting works? I.e. the cost of his crew is incurred now, but their incomes only come later (and may be low on average, given where he lives etc.). It sounds a bit like a Ponzi scheme to me. The kids didn't get to choose to be born to a huge crew, but Seth/Mumma dam well had the choice and my taxes are paying for it (I've held off having kids because I can't afford it).
