I think there is something we--and Trump--can learn from his statements. Whether he was referring to Haiti or Africa it does not matter--both places are model examples for the GOPs wet dream in regards to a Healthcare system--a "true free market" with no government regulation. In contrast, the country the president praised--Norway--has a government run, universal system. Perhaps this plays in to the desire for one group (the ones from the "$hithole" countries) to want to come here and the other not? Obviously there are other differences between the "$hithole" countries and Norway.
We could also look into these countries (Norway vs. "$hithole" countries) in regards to their attitudes towards government funding of education, attitudes towards those that are "different" (i.e. gays, foreigners, religious minorities), climate change policies, tax policies, and the role that religion plays in government and legislation.
My main question for Mr. Trump would be why he pursues legislation and policies that would make the USA more like the countries he considers "$hitholes" and less like Norway? Maybe he just wants to make the USA a "$hithole" so people from other "$hithole" countries no longer want to come here? If so, I think everything he is doing and saying makes total sense but he needs to change his slogan from M.A.G.A to M.A.A.S. (make America a "$hithole").
