Does Dax or Caleb run for college? If not, what do they do now? I assume they aren’t running collegiately since there’s no info online regarding that, but what has become of them now?

Del Norte and Point Loma are not CCS🙅♂️
I’m telling y’all Jesuit and Vacaville will be DII powerhouses in the next year or two

According to Instagram, Dax is on a mission at Guatemala

milesplit 🤩🤩🤩 love this poverty sport!!!! #CIFgoon
Dax is on a mission for the LDS church in Guatemala right now, returning next August. Caleb is going on a mission to Spain soon hopefully, but has had issues coordinating it. After they get back Dax will go to BYU and train on their b team and Caleb will go to Salt Lake community college
Is everyone in Oakdale Mormon? I mean it’s not totally surprising- I’m about an 45 min to an hour away from the area and there’s a high Mormon population there. But I think this not the thread for that
Mormons made a pretty good base of our team early on. Dax and Caleb were the first role models for the team and they were both Mormon. Then Jacob was the next Mormon and is currently a senior, and he recruited Parker, who is also Mormon, who is a junior. Lots of our best runners were recruited through church ties

Girls Rankings
Pretty Good stuff! Thanks!
J Serra’s Bob Firman performance may not be a good look, but it really shouldn’t be held against them. They only sent 5 girls, and Polay wasn’t one of them. It was a split-squad day.

Oakdale does have the only Mormon Church in probably a 30 minute radius so there may be a higher population of Mormons in town than other nearby towns. But there's usually only
2-4 out of ~15 on the team any given year. They just happen to be some of our most successful runners. I know Doug Soles has talked about how the Mormons of Herriman are very hard workers, that's probably true for Mormons everywhere.
prepcaltrack state preview
edit: whoops someone posted it 30 minutes before me LOL

Thanks, haven’t read the preview yet, but Blade’s modus-operandi, like Valby’s, is to take it out fast and try and hang on. So if it’s not a tactical affair, will Blade or Barker come close to running under Sadie’s Woodward Park record?

What teams do you guys think will make NXN in 2024 out of California?
What about individuals?
Especially regarding NORTHERN California.
This is roughly the time when everyone is gonna be heading up or down to Clovis - some people are probably already there. Best of luck to everyone competing or coaching this weekend - it's been another great round of debate on this season's Letsrun CIF thread. For all our differences in opinions about Crystal Springs or NXN qualifiers, i'm sure everyone can agree that no one else does running quite like the Golden State.
Placer girls ranked 2 for DIV is astounding. We haven’t had a State champion title since 2004 and the guys got 3rd in 2018 (my frickin guys right). Girls are def not winning state this year cause of Jserra, but we’ve been on a roll. Top runner Olivia Passefume won the section race at Willows Hill and has been on a roll (break out season last season and has improved a lot from when I knew her as a freshman). Shoutout to my Placer fam, don’t sleep on them just yet- we could really shock some people. Glad to see my Alma Mater doing amazing!
