Coach Dunn did not leave Kentucky for any other reason that he was offered a significant increase in salary which in our sport is something important. For way too long cc/track coaches have been very poorly compensated, and finally there are some AD's willing to put forth a good salary pool. If coach dunn hadn't been offered a huge raise he would have gladly stayed at Kentucky. To say there were problems with him and Coach Floreal would be inaccurate.
Doubtful assistant track coaches make more than $80,000.
There are plenty of assistants making over 80k as a base salary. Do some research.
Wow, you are out of date...Warner got fired over a year ago. Don't think he is coaching anywhere (who would hire him?)

Jerry Clayton is a great hire for Michigan. U of I should have hired him after Wienike retired. Instead they got Wayne Angel and some other guy after him. That's a huge get for Michigan!

If Kentucky could match (they can if they want) the salary that OU offered, would Dunn have stayed or went to OU? My money is still on OU! This isn't based on on a beef with the coach, but long term success possibility.

JJ clark is firing everyone or losing them. Either way. How much better does he need to be to stay director?
Why would Guthrie leave Wisconsin to take over a struggling mid major in CMU? I can't imagine the pay would be much if any better. Is being a head coach at that level better than being an assistant in the Big Ten?

While on the SEC, does anyone know who will be hired at Mississippi to coach distance? Earlier in the spring it was posted on a recruiting class thread that they had a really strong class brought in by Gavin Kennedy. I can't find a new hire anywhere on their site (maybe due to slow updating). Does anyone know anything? It's getting late in the game for an SEC school to still be without a coach with XC right around the corner.
Did he choose to leave WI, or did they decide for him? I honestly don't know the answer.
So does anybody know about ole miss? They have been looking for a coach for a while and with O'neil traveling Europe with Isiah Young all summer who could they have time to get?
