While I do think there is a better solution, from a legal standpoint there is really no argument against ending the TPS for Salvadorans. Unless you think that earthquakes from 17 years ago are still stopping people from returning home.

Agreed. No problem with removing them from the TPS program. But, they should have some pathway to legal residence. It's just cruel separating them from their 200,000 children, all of which are US citizens. Yet another disgusting way in which Trump is appeasing his base at the expense of innocent people.

If they have children who are US citizens and haven't committed crimes then they are allowed to stay. Learn the facts.

Are you sure that you're not thinking of the new DACA proposal? But to the original point, yeah I'm in favor of some sort of statute of limitations on deportation for non-violent offenders- if you've gone, say, 15 years with nothing more than a speeding ticket, and you have a job/pay taxes or have kids who are U.S. citizens, I think it's time we just admit that we did not do a good job of "finding" that illegal immigrant.

Yes to this. Lots of talk on both sides about the balance of power shifting a bit in Congress, but, nothing particularly compelling happening with the Democrats.

The message out of narrowly defeating Moore was a moderate message that is local works. Maybe it's the case the party is treating them like local elections. It remains to be seen.

Obama stated with the right kind of education with BA in Political Science (emphasis on International Relations)

He then went to Harvard Law school and got a JD.

He was then a state senator for 7 years!

Then US Senator!

And during all that time, he worked on various things including international relations and financial policy and a whole host of things that helped him understand fully how government works.

Sorry, but he was very qualified and way more than any of the people I mentioned. Those against Obama like to say he was just a "community organizer" which was ONE of the many things he did in his service to the public, but it wasn't the only thing.

The Trump experiment hasn't worked.

Dude, I'm no Oprah fan, but you don't know if she knew or not. She wouldn't have been targeted by him because she wasn't a young actress looking to make a name for herself.
