Amazing how many great 800m runners had less than ideal form.

Cruz, Amos, Everett,
Best form ever, even with having to carry that floaties thingy. https://youtu.be/fMGaOm_ekX4
Khalid Khannouchi; Arturo Barrios; Frank Shorter; Carlos Lopez; Eliud Kipchoke; Sebastian Coe; David Rudisha; Joaquim Cruz; a different thread for women with beautiful strides ...

It's both smooth and powerful.
Most people have stride that can look effortless, or who are technically good or look good.
Not only Bekele stride looks good, but he is also one of the few who looks powerful and strong when he run. You can see that his stride is better and will allow him to doo great things.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=139&v=NNf6acRqHp8&feature=emb_logoThat light, powerful, quick stride is what allowed him to dominate everywhere, from XC to track and road.
Amen, dude. That video is one of my favorites of all time. He's absolutely metronomic. Smooth. Efficient. I've modeled my stride off of that video since I was 13 :)
And the last lap of this...Just incredible.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVXsHej-OYUI think the mistake people make is looking at his road stride vs what he used to be on the track/XC course. He has talked about how he had to alter his stride to avoid injury on the roads/longer distances. It's certainly a lot clunkier and less smooth nowadays, and I feel like that's what most people are looking at. But back in the day? Unmatched.
Watch how EL G makes KB's stride look short and choppy. El G GOAT
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBegBqZUHiwEl G looked effortless even in his kick. Best I ever saw in person was Jim Spivey. He floated.
I always thought Shannon Rowbury looked like a dancer on the track. Graceful and never broke form
Fully agree. Effortless. I wish we could have seen Kipketer and Rudisha head to head in their primes.
I think Juantorena between 500-600 meters in the Montreal Olympic 800 final was the greatest stride running you will ever see.
Lots of good ones mentioned. ..
Evan Jager and Letesenbet Gidey come to mind.
That must be Camille Herron.
For the men:
100-400 Bolt
800-3000 Rudisha or Komen
5000 and up Bekele hands down
