I know. Ohio needs to step up honor killings and take away voting and driving rights for women. And start killing Jews and gays.

Totally backwards. We need to protect the rights of hijab wearers.

Hijabs should not be allowed in high school xc.
If an entire team wore hijabs, the girls running against them wouldn't be able to tell who's who and, in a team competition like hs xc, this would be an advantage.
Unlike other religious items, a hijab, to great degree, masks the identity of a runner from behind.
Unlike track, the pace and rhythm of an xc race is frequently set by those around/ahead of you. In large hs xc meets, runners are always squaring up against the guys/gals theyve seen and raced against at dual/league meets. Runners with hijabs distort this element of the sport.
Sure, this is one girl (and maybe a few dozen total in the US in hs xc),I'm just saying.
……...that really I'm a racist. Yep, that's what you are really saying about yourself.

Nowhere in the rules does it state that she can't wear that hat.
It's not a hat.
Ah. I see your point. Though perhaps it is confusion. The picture you show and call a hijab. the one with the man threatening with a knife. seems related to the head wear worn by some of those dapl thugs who were busy poisoning the waters of the Sioux . I am not sure how this relates to the girl competing cross country. Are all those who wear shoes guilty by association for what has been done by some in shoes?

How about a nasty birthmark?
A Trump hat?
Run with A Trump hat? Yes, probably. A true Trump follower worships him like God. Therefore the Trump hat is a symbol of the religion of Trump. Sign the religious waiver and you're good to go!

Rules say you need a waiver. She’s not special, DQ stands, get your paperwork in coach and stop with the political agenda. No head gear!
"I'm no racist, but she deserved to be banned! The rules are the rules! She should have definitely combed the rule book to make sure that a totally innocuous accessory isn't banned for some backwards, overreaching reason!

After reading your response, you clearly are racist.
It is even more illegal to attempt to race in-
a cowboy hat,
a straw hat,
a zorro hat,
an oregon trail style bonnet,
a propeller hat,
a nuns habit,
a giant cheese head,
those alien bug antennaes,
a kamokazee handkerchief,
dress in headwear from the village people ymca,
a swim cap, even with flowers,
a chewbacca head.
unless it's a service chewbacca.
Is there any rule about how short a mans shorts can be?
Can men's shorts have ruffles and lace in multiple layers?
For the brilliantly facted who never cuss-
At what point in United States history would you guess it would be legal for the more standard
costumes worn by girls in high school cross country to be worn in public. Would these costumes be at all surprising for Ben Franklin or Mark twain, or W C fields to find racing around on a golf course? Given that they must have certainly accepted it as pure fact that women do not and should not race around.

It's not a hat but you can't tell the difference because you're basically ignorant.

I guess in Ohio, and probably many other backwards states, if a very observant Jewish boy showed up to the starting line of a XC race wearing a yarmulke he would not be permitted to run either. If a Sikh boy were to run and was wearing his head covering you would probably not allow him to run as well. In the case of the Sikh, they would probably state that, "it looks like a rolled up bandana/doo-rag". It's simply appalling that high school federations are so uneducated about the world we live in.
You think this guy could get a religious waver?
He has a pretty good warm up routine.
How big does your church have to be for your headgear to qualify as religious?
What if I am a church of one but entirely sincere? Are your religious beliefs only protected if you are a part of a giant group?
On the other foot- do these guys get religious exemptions for their head wear, even if they believe it gives them a competitive advantage?

Why can't I have a tassel 1/8 the length of Jordan Hasay's pony tail?
Why should it be required that a competitor be allowed to know who I am from all angles?
I like the idea of putting the whole team in balaclavas. with only their eyes showing. and sending a couple decoy runners out extra fast to confuse the leaches.
What about the religious headwear option for these guys. This picture chosen to show off his eyes. which I'm guessing there is no actual rule against. Which I am not thrilled with since I have a hunch making that face should be illegal. But his friends sacred head wear seems to be a bit more confusing . Since it only has eye holes and no face hole.
Just say no to head wear.
But more capes.

Please god I hope so, and someone take video!! That's fantastic.
About a zillion times better than all the snowflakes and racists whining on this thread.
You're a tool. Not only am I not a republican, I'm a Muslim. If you read my comment, you'd see I said Ohio needs to update its rules.
Tool.
That's just the problem: Their shouldn't be any rules for wearing the hijab, nor for anyone wishing to come live in the U.S. One planet, one nation. SOVEARNTY = DONIONS
