I emailed the race to see if they would confirm that she had been disqualified since she doesn't show up ranked in her age group. Here is their reply.

Our Temecula course was changed due to severe weather leading up to the event. While we had a course change, our courses are clearly marked and accurately measured. This course configuration and how she cheated is very similar to a half marathon course I run in Dupage County IL. Timing mats at start, 5K and finish. There is a back loop to go around twice in same direction. Cheats just go around once. Always count on a few female age group "winner" cheats each year. Their first 5K time (slow) versus their finish time (proportionally much faster to ridiculous) gives them away, but easy to check on other race / times on non- "opportunistic" courses. There needs to be a mat in that loop at mile 6 and 10 markers in that one.

I don’t know how many women are following this thread, but most of my male friends find this look pretty hideous. I hope most women have the self-respect not to think they should look like this. Women that are way natural looking and actually athletic are way more attractive than this abomination. Speaking for myself, I feel sorry for her that she feels she needs to look like this.

She's cuter than the other girl, but honestly, I find the whole "look at how hot I am" act to be inherently low class and off-putting. I think I'd be more attracted to this woman if I saw her walking down the street dressed like a normal person and wearing a normal amount of makeup. Begging people to be attracted to you is unattractive. This kind of person is the reason the term "tryhard" was invented.
I think it's possible that because the event was titled a 'half' marathon, that she probably thought she only needed to run half of the stated distance. Just a rookie mistake about terminology. Could happen to anyone. She and her team will make some adjustments, and she'll be back, racing for an OTQ.

Many of us men have been fed this "look" through years of exposure to Playboy and porn videos, etc. Not only is this "look" demeaning to women but it also rewires our male brains to think this "look" is "hot". This "look" is totally detached from the reality of a living, breathing human being who happens to be female. There's a certain level of brainlessness in this doll-like "look" that is totally detached from the real world.
Sure, the women described in this thread may have millions of followers, but that only shows the extreme superficiality of our times. No, they don't need my permission to look or do what they want, but I do think it's allowed to voice a dissenting opinion about the "hot" porn look.
I'll take the natural beauty of Jenny Simpson and Laura Muir any day. Not only that, but Simpson and Muir are remarkable elite athletes and human beings, not just phantoms on social media.
