My question is, how do we get our guys the same EPO they have?
Posts like this are stupid and borderline deletable. You offer no rationale for the thought. Plus it makes little sense. Kejelcha trains with Salazar so presumably if he was EPO, he could tell Rupp where to get it.
Look, anyone could be dirty, but if I was dirty, I'd certainly stay away from the US and Salazar as there is a lot of OOC testing in the US and the authorities are focused on Salazar. Now I know Kejelchas didn't get the WR , Tefera did, and I'm not confident in the Ethiopian testing.
Plu a BIG time talent does need EPO to run 3:31. 3:31 was first run in 1980 LONG BEFORE EPO was invented.
I think a bunch of thyroid meds could be useful in helping one be "on" all the time but one doesn't need EPO to run 3:31.
there is doubt that El G was clean
therefore we should doubt anyone who beats his record...
I just watched the finish and he isn't even celebrating, he just looks paranoid
maybe running is such a soulless sport that 19 yo no-names can demolish world records in relatively obscure meets?
besides indoor outdoor distinction is bogus.
if people want to dope that's on them, if there's some kind of international doping conspiracy where athletes are provided with PED by some kind of shadowy organization in order to push an agenda, I can readily forgive anyone who admits to being indoctrinated into it.
I have 0 reason to put faith into anyone who sets a WR without addressing the elephant in the room at some point.
if you are totally clean, why not save this kind of super human feat for the Olympics, where recently a time of 3:50 WON GOLD.
if you're clean and able to put out such a time, realistically nobody would be able to deny your talent. if someone says in the Olympics: nobody passes Matt Centrowitz, why on Earth would you pay them any mind?
even from an optimistic perspective, within the limits of rationality, I can hypothesize that the 2016 Olympic 1500m was a race where cleanliness was enforced beyond the typical means, and of the field, Centrowitz just happened to be the most prepared for those demands. nobody was coerced to throw the race, just by shear chance USA got gold. for Christ's sake 3:50 shouldn't have even won a mile.
