If only for their posh accents, the same nose and the fact they all have crystal blue eyes. The selective sweeping of the Battersea Park recruiting regime has been compared to certain historical processes. 'I have seen the big eared boys on farms'. Chaps do not get offended when you hear the Herculean effort by these boys stuck in the past trying to see who can 'break wind hardest for their college'. They do speak English, the accent is just a tad more accentuated than most.

Its cool that they're running over wet ground, we do that too in the US. This just goes to show that for a big field, a more open course makes better sense.

Golf courses tend to absorb water a lot better so it’s probably definitely not the same thing.
Also, cross country flats aren’t a thing over here either because as the previous poster said we do “proper cross country”.
And finally, coaches don’t go out and clear the course before a race. Because it’s “proper cross country.”

Clearly this was the sanitised version of Englanders Across Country racing for the Americaneeers. The stream crossings and washing in the streams post race followed by visits to drink in the local cricket club post race may prove too much for them. It certainly proved too much for the majority of Wimbledon on Saturday. It would be bloody charitable to invite a club from the United States to compete in the Surrey XC league next season. Why would anyone take umbridge to this?
Was it in Surrey or Kent ?
I remember hurdling / vaulting bits of fallen tree in races not long after the storms in the 87 and 90(?) that felled many an old ash and horse chestnut. Course clearing my foot...
Wonder if there were any Blackheath members out on second claim in that video? Now that is Kent club...
