She has a tracker. I wonder if we'll get GPS watch data with cadence uploaded each night! One to watch I think!

I have told Trasie and Sandra's coach Dave about Shellie having control over Sandra's communications and for them check on it and take control over the Facebook page to prevent Shellie from sending more messages to people. Trasie knows that Shellie is Sandra's daughter but I'm not sure if she knows Shellie is the one answering all the questions for Sandra and then using her own social media accounts to send other messages to those people. And Dave the coach is not aware that Sandra has a daughter Shellie. So everything makes sense now and I'm trying to diffuse the situation.

It's not for you to diffuse the situation. They got themselves into this mess. Leave them to it.

Phan is supposed to be a pro marketing expert. She can sort this mess for herself without some random guy on a forum telling them what to do!

Meh, I'm usually cynical and enjoy a slow motion train crash but I can also be a helpful guy. I find it refreshing that Sandra's run is just a pure transcon attempt and not something involving a "charity" like with those other scammers we have dealt with.

It's still none of your business and not up to you to tell them who can and can't answer messages.

You do not know it will be a legit run as it's not started yet.

She has in the past used a car on a run and deleted all comments asking what happened, and lied about her marathon PR.

Don't assume things.

That would be true if the gofundme page had not been created on 8/18- before the record attempt was postponed.

if you cant finance your 6 week running holiday then find something else to do.

that said, if someone wants to pay for my next race entry and a new pair of shoes i'll happily set up a gofundme page.

as a bonus i'll raise awareness for the charity of your choice.

My story is unlike many other elite runners because I havenâ€™t been an athlete my entire life. What I have been is a mom, a sister, a coach and a friend; someone who wants to make a difference; and, who wants to inspire America.
I am a big dreamer and am always looking for the next big challenge to focus on. I am now aiming to break the women's world record for running across America and I need your help to cover the costs of this journey. I am aiming to run 3,067 miles in under 55 days. Just $1, $5, or even more will help me make this dream a reality. Funds will go to cover expenses related to my run: food, nutrition, and travel costs for my support crew, amongst other things.
It costs $90,000 for the 8 weeks I plan to be on the road. If we are unable to gain corporate sponsorship, we plan to break up the go fund me effort into 3 portions. The first portion is $40,000 to help pay for the RV and initial expenses. Then $25,000 when we get 1/3 of the way (through Utah) and another $25,000 to get us all the way to New York City Hall.
The process of gaining corporate sponsorship has been difficult because most companies don't believe there is an audience for this type of endurance effort. Your support would be a vote to say that you want to see this run happen.
Completing an amazing endeavor like this would be a dream come true and would be a life changing event for me and prove that an everyday woman can achieve anything she puts her mind to. My run supports and benefits Girls on The Run , a charity that helps girls believe they can achieve anything through running empowerment. If we don't meet our fundraising goal of $40,000 to start the run, all proceeds will be returned.
I have already had a big year, most recently winning top female at the 2017 Badwater 135 Mile Ultramarathon . I am now eager to take on this next challenge and thank you in advance for any support you can offer.

This is descending into farce. She's raised $700 out of the initial $40k required. The run will not happen.
