Part of the whole discussion is that everyone is mixing the terms "gender" and "sex" when they have generally clear distinctions in the social and biological sciences. Gender is generally accepted as a term in which it refers to a person's expression of sexuality in the broader culture. Gender is accepted to exist as a spectrum along which people exist, and can be a fluid term.
Sex is, on the other hand, those physiological characteristics determined first by genetics and then by hormones. A person can very much identify their gender as female but their sex is male - as a fact, this is the very definition of transgender.
We need to make it clear that we segregate the sports based on sex - not gender. And that is because a y-chromosome, and the associated hormones and physical characteristics (i.e. narrow hip girdle, etc), provide a massive competitive edge.
You make it sound like JJ and Sharp spoke out. They were baited by SJW journalist so they could twist the girls' words, make the girls the villian, then push the lgbtq agenda.
Semenya, wambui and nyonsaba followed the rules. There is no reason to come down on them because all that will do is make the next intersection come along. The rule needs to change

For whatever it's worth, my African American wife watched the 800, watched Caster and the others, and instantly said, "They're not women."
She's got an innate sense of fairness. She's pretty middle-of-the-road. Non-ideological. Not a social justice warrior, just a great person from South Dallas. The unfairness of the situation was a no-brainer for her.
She and I don't always agree, but we saw this one the same way.

I've spoken with runners, non running friends, neighbors, many people who I've come in contact with since the women's 800 event, and every single one of them said the 3 men should not have been in the race, nor received any medals. Every single person is appalled at what happened.
I understand that they Y chromosome SRY gene men want to have their own competition, and I am not against that. However they should realize that taking part in a women's race is brutality directed to the women, is cheating and is wrong.
What, biologically, makes Semenya female? Race categories are divided into men's races and women's races because of the bilogical athletic advantages of males v. females, it does not matter which gender a person identifies with. Is Semenya's only female attribute that she lacks a penis? This would not seem to effect her male athletic advantages, since it's reported that she does have internal testes that are producing testosterone.

Enjoy this while you can. The IAAF is not finished on this and will either address the CAS concerns, or change its eligibility rules. Caster has at most 18 months longer to compete in the women's events, without therapy.
It says something about you if you were not struck by the inherent unfairness in that 800 race.
