Late to this, so I apologize if it's been said - but in my very quick read of the articles, there seems to be a tone of men vs women in the minds of the authors. I'm not sure why they set it up that way as it's not men who lose in this scenario; it doesn't change things for men if other men are allowed to race and beat women. So fine, if anyone has a problem with this and wants to do something, let it be women. It's women standing up for Caster, if other women have a problem with it, let them do something about it. Otherwise, if a guy can identify as a woman and set female world records, win all the prize money, drive all other women out f the sport - let women do something about it.
It's hilarious how so many men on the board go in Semenya threads being like "we're standing up for women!" when the board is full of threads viciously attacking women runners for their bodies, looks, make up, being "slow", making disgusting sexualized statements, etc.
If men want to advocate for and protect women, instead of calling Semenya it and writing gross speculation about her genitals, etc., how about not sexually harassing women and continually speaking in disgusting and cruel ways about women's bodies.

For one, I don't think you understand that intersexed people are often insensitive to testosterone. It is known as AIS.

You say not everyone has the right to be in the olympics. Well, why exclude Semenya and not the other women who do not train hard enough or who have other genetic advantages? My parents were nothings in athletics. Should the kids of college runners be banned from competing against me because they have DNA that affords them faster times with less effort? The answer is no.
You may beba champion for transgender people but you don't understand the physiology of what it means to be intersex.

You're the one shaming her. What is disgusting about genitals? Or talking about genitals? What could be more natural. Why is someone's genitals some weird secret they should be ashamed of or keep secret? Nobody's body should be shameful or hidden or a secret. As a society I guess we aren't there yet, especially when it's often women who are the most cruel about other women's bodies. Just ask Dani Mathers. But Caster would help out all others if she would simply be more open about all of this. I'm not sure how we progress if we still live in a place where talking about genitals is wrong and disgusting. Perhaps you believe women should be covered from head to toe?
My point was that I'm a liberal female and do not support intersex athletes competing in women's category without regulation.
I know enough about the physiology of intersex athletes to know that Semenya wasn't breaking 2 minutes until CAS suspended hyperandrogenism regulations.

This is just a bad comparison all around because we're not talking about other genetic or environmental advantages.
Sport is divided into two categories based on sex, as the "Y" chromosome is the greatest genetic advantage one could have. It's agreed upon that men and women compete separately. The other advantages--training, environment, luck, psychology--are what play out and creates proper competition. So don't cloud the issue with off topic analogies.
