Do you mean on patriarchal culture? Cuz that's what's happening. Nope. If you want to compare child molesters to child molesters, there are plenty of modern day child molesters who are avowed LGBT haters. Giving kids hormones to facilitate a change that they feel they want is not child molestation.

Allowing some people with higher testosterone to compete in women's sports, temporarily while the system works itself out, is not insane. It may not prove to be a wise long-term strategy for gender-based sports, but it's not insane. It - a very routine controversial decision - is what happens when organizing bodies try to make the right decisions. You're using this small mistake to leverage a huge reactionary political machine, and threatening throwing wide swaths of people in prison for being child rapists.

In what judicial system do you live in? In what culture do you live in? In the one I live in, this doesn't even happen in cases that merit it. This culture (American culture) has endured an enormous amount of abuse to children, with very few people being prosecuted further down the line. For centuries, abused children and adults have been fighting for rights against people like you, regardless of partisanship, trying to have their voices heard and get good policies.

Instead of comparing transexual families to pedophiles (I'd argue that argument is a symptom of your hysteria), how about we compare the anti-trans movement to the anti-black movement. How about the white lynch mobs that roved the country, claiming that black men were raping their women and lynching thousands of them in the early 1900s. Denying them votes or housing or schools. Were all of those people who "participated" in those terrorist, extra-judicial mobs and policies tried and convicted, even though they were highly abusive? No. In fact they're still around today attempting to propel a president into the white house and to control every state legislature and governorship with huuuuugge financial backing.

There have been much greater sins than a society having a discussion and some policy updating around LGBT life issues.

But despite all that, you're saying people who want to ease the lives of genuinely transgender people are going to get some special punishment? Will be treated like child molesters? The question will be what happens when someone sues for losing a race or title? Somewhere in America someone's little girl will lost a race to a transgender and will sue.

OK. Let's say I agree to go along with the idea that a boy can identify as a girl and that society MUST treat her as a girl.

Does this "identify" business have any limits?

1. Can a white kid identify as a black kid and be legally treated as such by University admission boards and reap all the benefits set aside for blacks?

2. Can a 30 year old identify as a 17 year old and legally enroll in high school and compete in athletics?

3. Can anyone identify as an American citizen and demand to be let into the US?

4. Can anyone identify as a doctor and legally set up a medical practice?

5. Can anyone identify as the President and force the country to treat them as such?

6. Can anyone identify as Benevolent World Ruler and force everyone to bend to their will?

You see where I'm going with this. In fact let's go there. I identify as Benevolent World Ruler, so according to the new rules ignoring truth and reality, everyone MUST bend to my will or be accused of bigotry and have all their school funding revoked. You're missing the fact and point that gender dysphoria has been identified as a real issue that many face both inside and outside the United States. Admittedly it does raise issues with sports, however there are rules in place already in the NCAA that make sure those who transitioned are taking hormones to level that issue.

Also theres now a school board in North Carolina that voted to allow female students to carry Mace/pepper spray to protect themselves because "you never know." Research other instances of trans individuals being attacked and killed to see that the bigotry you discuss is a real thing and fear for these people.

The history of megalomaniacal dictators shows that people constantly try to kill them. As Benevolent World Ruler I fear for my life, therefore you must submit to my will.

Don't you think there have always been boys who seem more feminine than the average, and girls who seem more masculine? Why did this suddenly - almost immediately after the Left decided they had won the "gay marriage" issue - become the focus of their efforts?

This is not a "discussion" that the Left would like to have. It is a diktat, completely separated from the normal channels of legislation. Obama and his administration did not use this as an issue is 2012. In fact, they did not make this an issue until after a quick pivot following Obergefell vs Hodges. But they will dictate the terms of this new world, and they will try to make the penalties increasingly severe for those who resist.

The goal is to completely upend traditional society based on marriage and traditional sexual norms in a Christian society. The Left identified the enemy - Christianity - and is moving to destroy its influence in society. In the Left's brave new world, each person can choose whether they are a man or a woman. They don't need any identifying evidence except their feelings, which of course can change day to day. It's not important to separate the sexes in bathrooms or changing rooms or communal showers because one person may feel that they are a certain gender on a certain day. The reason for this separation is not biology, but feelings. But it's also biology because there may be some physical exceptions, as there has always been. Physical gender is not important, but it's so overwhelmingly important that little children should be encouraged to take powerful drugs to change their biology, even if that biology is not as important as their "feelings", Temporary feelings must be accommodated. Ultimately, to buy this contradictory lunacy, you have to throw away the type of logic that allows a society to function. And that is the goal.

And i self identify as your successor, but i'm "leader fluid" which means sometimes i am leader, sometimes not. Right now I am, and I demand all men are allowed to enter women's races, to beat the heck out of all the women, take their prizes, and then leave the women wondering what just happened. If a male to female transgender competes in the NCAA wouldn't they have the same drug testing as others? 24 hour notice for out of competition and only D1 athletes could be tested at the National Championships. Anything more could be "unfair", harassment or discrimination.
