Dallas Cowboys Best Team in the NFL?

I still think the division is the best shot as I believe Philly will lose at New York and at home against Seattle and Dallas.

Meanwhile I think Dallas loses against Indy and beats chicago and Washington.

Philly and Seattle take the wild cards

I'm a big Cowboys fan, but wow, did we get out coached and outplayed tonight!

That was just embarrassing, especially after I defended Romo in an earlier post today.

The worst part is even if we lose out the rest of the season, we're still 8-8... too bad to go anywhere in the playoffs and too good to get a decent draft pick. Argh!!!

Yep, that was the key. Philly did a nice job getting their backs into space which they have struggled to do up to this point. They were also able to limit Dallas' number of plays and take them out of trying to run the ball for the last 3 quarters like they would normally do.

The two teams do similar things:

Dallas covers up a weak defense by running the ball and controlling clock

Philly covers up a weak defense by scoring and making the opposition one dimensional, thus freeing up their pass rushers.

Yesterday, Philly did a better job executing.

The Philly defense has actually been pretty decent this year. I wouldn't call them weak at all.

Meanwhile are we finally seeing the result of Dallas riding Murray so much this season. I'm hoping he's not worn down, but I'm worried.

Murray rushed the ball 20 times yesterday compared to his season average of 24 carries per game. You are trying to oversell the "forced to play one-dimensional" excuse.

He has nearly a 600 yard lead on the rest of the NFL.

Just give him the rushing title now.

Next game for Dallas, the rematch in Philly.

But this time with a long rest and time to game plan.

And the Eagles will be coming off of a presumably tough game against Seattle.

If the Eagles win these next two home games against Seattle and Dallas, they clinch the division (they are undefeated so far at home).

If the Eagles lose to Seattle, Dallas will be in control of winning the division if they can go into Philadelphia and win. They would be a game up.

If the Eagles win just one of these two home games, they will be in control of winning the division (because of the Cowboys loss to the Redskins).

The Boys looked great last night. That being said, not the first time the Bears have been throttled at home this season.

Gotcha

With the Eagles loss to the Seahawks, the Cowboys can take over the division with a win in Philly next week.

They will have had a week and a half rest this time instead of 4 days and more game film of how to stop them.

Can the Cowboys win an important game in December this time?

Last time Dallas played Philly they got home Monday morning from playing the Giants the night before and ended up with only 2 days of practice. This meeting the Cowboys have 10 days to prepare. I'm not saying Dallas is going to win because I think Chip Kelly can carve up their defense but the game should be a little bit more competitive.

Yes, it should be more competitive.

And Mark Sanchez has not played in one close game this year.

Every game that he has played has been decided by 10 points or more in the wins and losses.

So we don't know how he plays in a game that is close at the end.

Romo has the edge there.

Thats true, they stopped calling all the penalties on pass coverage and now Seattle is back to the D of last year.

However, this is probably the wrong thread for you to brag on seeing as how the Cowboys absolutely BULLIED the Seahawks defense to the tune of 400 yards and 30 points in Seattle.
