Sorry if I come off as a hater. I am tired of the Ashland hype going sky high during the first 6 to 8 weeks of the season when they look good and everyone else is still in training mode. Remind me of the last time they had a guy show up with his A game at XC nationals.......I'll be waiting.

Ashland in recent years hasnt had a guy like baum leading the way. Idk what youre saying about hype being sky high because theyre usually not even ranked in the top 25 pre-season just like this year. They're are plenty of teams I think of before ashland that are over hyped early and fall off at the end of the season. Malone and Southern Indiana are the first two that come to mind. Even though Malone hypes up themselves more than anyone else would

Yeah, Biwott had excellent 10k strength winning that 6k this past weekend.
Biwott was second at nationals last year was he not? Where was Baum? Where was Ashland? At home.
And I guess I should have clarified, they aren't necessarily ranked so high, but letsrun gets a lot of Ashland hype.
And who's Malone? Never heard of them.
Ashland gets hype because they are a top 10 team this year.
Perhaps we should see how the season plays out. Wait until November and see where people are. Less interesting, I know, but certainly more informative.

Not a Malone fan but pathetic may be a stretch. However, Micky Mouse is running this year so they may actually have some competition. Hazen may not be able to pace them this year, their fitness has been elevated just beyond what he is capable of sustaining for 3 miles.

Midwest bracket is very incorrect. Why has so much changed since the pre season rankings, and only maybe 5 of the teams have raced, with only a couple even racing 8k's.
You're right, I'm very surprised as well that they are ranking based on womens 5ks and men running 4k/4mi/6k. Not much sense made.
