Who is "they"? We have what's called the separation of powers in the country. The courts don't amend the laws. If you meant Congress, where were you a couple of weeks ago when the House repealed the entire bill? The SCOTUS couldn't give a rat's ass if "millions of 25 years" (whatever that is) already are being insured.
Also, if you think that it's the job of the SCOTUS to examine a bill to see which parts abide by the Constitution, do us all a favor and read a civics 101 book before posting again because you clearly have absolutely no idea how the judicial system works.
Ok, the abiding by the constitution part referred to this case. It is one of the jobs of the supreme court. You seemed to imply that whether it is revenue neutral determined areas of severability. I was aware of the house repealing the bill. If a provision is struck out of the law, congress will most likely come up with an amendment if it stands. The Senate just amended the healthcare bill and struck out a provision the required businesses to report extra tax info. It passed with 81 votes I believe. Proof that the bill can be amended with support from both sides. And lastly, despite trying to maintain a civil debate, you lower yourself by hurling insults to make yourself look bigger. Its childish.
