Ryan Gill did the same thing with his North Al team which won Pa States AAA. He did not qualify at FL NE and would have had a tough time at NXN NE as well, but what about team 1st as they might have had a chance? Sargent was not having a good year and should have seen her FL chances as slim what a shame.

Every California Top 5 boy (after Power merge and team adjustments) will be attending NXN Finals. Now 18 of the Top 25 boys will be competing at NXN National Championships and either 11/12 at FL with several being NXN doublers. Top California Simi Valley girl shutting down for the season.

How do you explain the disparity of the top boy runners Mr. Poster? Depth is overwhelmingly better at NXN for boys with the girls next to migrate. Handwriting is on the wall. Done deal, lets write the obit.

Look for a major announcement from Nike sometime in December. It looks like a number of states are going to be pushing back hard with the sanctioning issues that are being skirted. Looks like NXNs days are numbered.

You are trying to slam FL, but All of the FL runners have to quality to be the BEST in their region, not just members of a team.

Yeah you got your facts right. Nike and NXN personnel and Nike HS Federation attorney have dealt with each individual state and the NFHS and there are no sanctioning issues at all because it is not a HS sanctioned event, but USATF Junior Competition sanctioned by USATF. Not one state bylaw has ever been compromised nor any eligibility issue arisen that has harmed any runner that has competed at the event. Just 2 states have issues with club teams and they are Michigan and Wisconsin.

Im not slamming anybody. Theyre all excellent runners. Im saying that I think FL will eventually go down because the team concept will win out.

18 of 25 Top 25 Boys says it all at NXN Finals. Girls to follow. Game over for a FL slam. Less than 700 runners in FL NE adjusted for grade school/masters races (a fund raiser for meet management). Over 1200 at NXN NY/NE and NXN had less states to draw from. Oh my huckleberry Looks like somebody just walked over the FL grave. NXN had over 70% more legit runners than FL NE. How do you explain that?

Deem da facts. The way she had run throughout the season should have been an indicator of a tough qualifying chance at FL. Her team could have been competitive in the NXN NE race and she choose to go for individual glory as a 4 time FL qualifier. Well know what not even close at FL. There is an individual component at NXN so she could have run with her teammates and for individual qualifying there. Two chances to qualify are better than one. Another way where FL hurts the individual on a good team. Wonder who told her to sacrifice her teammates? The Shadow knows.
