SUNYAC Championship
1. Geneseo
2. Cortland
3. Fredonia
Atlantic Regional Championship
1. Geneseo
2. St. Lawerence
3. Cortland
4. NYU
5. Fredonia
With five teams going.
Also, does anybody know what is going to happen to the atlantic regional coaches poll? I want to see this years preview.
I'm guessing you go to Fredonia?

I go to Fredonia and would like to second fivivdsiagnjklsjf's picks for SUNYACs. We got 4th last year with only two runners finishing up to their caliber so I don't see why third should be outrageous.
Regionals I'd tend to disagree. I don't know if SLU is going to finish as high up as he/she predicts, and I think Plattsburgh shouldn't be counted out of the mix. I see our six schools (Geneseo, Cortland, SLU, NYU, Fredonia, Plattsburgh) being the top six teams this year. What order and who gets left out by one position from Nationals, I'm not sure of.
I know it's never smart to put your name on posts around here but that's my two cents.

Well, I've said it before, but I think it's a big mistake to count out TCNJ.
RIT as well.
Geneseo is strong but I still dont think they will be able to beat out cortland at sunyacs or at regionals
I think we will all be winners at SUNYACs and Regionals. :)
I agree with the posts a few ahead of mine. Eddie, Fredonia needs to worry about RIT and TCNJ before they start thinking about SLU, NYU, Suny G and Cortland. What are the official losses for Plattsburgh? Maybe Fredonia can catch them with a REALLY strong year, but I just don't see it happening.

yeah Fredonia's about one Brett Dolan short of moving up to the next level.
what about felcher? from cranston?

he's pretty tall.
its cool to predict a different reg. champ team, but doesn't Cortland return a lot? and they were dominant last year
but is it time to predict a different champ for the women's? I'm pretty sure Geneseo has lost a lot of seniors, and other teams have been improving- Cortland and SLU. freshman are probably a factor more than on the men's side too
SLU should be up there this year too. If Mwenda only ran one race last year at the beginning of the season running high 25's and kiplagat was around 2520 at nationals not to mention Ramsey who was injured in track but should come back strong also they have fox who was pretty good as well
Some Cortland results:

Click on either men's or women's results of dynamic duo. Of note, Andi Palen raced...is she really transferring?
Course is flat and fast out and back 3 miler.
transferred to FSU?

yeah
Jacob Malcomb was right with Fox as well. Sure he's small but don't forget him. They could have a solid top 5, especially if they close the gap between 3 and 4, and stay healthy.
So we've decided that the top 5 contenders at regionals are Fredonia, Plattsburgh, Cortland, Geneseo, NYU, TCNJ (I'm not entirely sure myself but they always manage to be decent I guess), SLU, and RIT. All of those 8 teams have a legit shot (save maybe TCNJ). Should be a good battle and a fun season.
In my eyes, there are 3 groups. First, those who will most likely be in the top 5 (in alphabetical order):
Cortland
Geneseo
NYU
SLU
Then, two teams that will be fighting for the 5th spot (this time in a predicted order):
5. Fredonia (going out on a limb maybe a little bit)
6. Plattsburgh
Finally, the last two, RIT and TCNJ, have a shot but I don't think that it's a great one.
Peace. Big Will

If RIT's guys are in peak form then I think they are better than Fredonia & Plattsburgh, especially since Plattsburgh won't have big bad Ben Jackson this fall.

Hahaha. I smell a "running joke" on this thread now... Which means Ben Jackson should probably put on some deodorant. Hahahahaha.
