Hey, half tights are just the logical next step after gen x'ers started wearing shorts that went down to their knees in place of real running shorts. If your running shorts go anywhere beyond the upper third of your thigh you are a poser and fashion is more important than function. I'm just sayin...

I agree. I love my short split shorts. I just can't get them short enough, honestly. I love going to road races with a bunch of yuppies (/triathletes) dressed like cute little race cars with their multi-colored tights over their thunder thighs. It's so fun to peel off the warm-ups to reveal the chiseled granite pieces of art that I call my legs, and see the terror in their eyes...

I once had a VERY attractive girl come onto me while I was wearing half-tights. I guess come of you lads just don't have the assets to pull them off...

Just worry about yourself and wear what you are comfortable in.

Atleast wear black!!!! These have an inner liner that doesn't show your Jimmy Dean. Pockets on both sides for gels (marathon) and a big zipper pouch in the bag for more storage.(Salt tabs, hotel key, etc.) These have really saved my quads the last three years in Boston. Three sub 3's in Boston so stop hating.:)

Racing in compression shorts is fine. Training in half tights or full tights for a male just makes you look like the little wuss that you are when running around town, on a trail, or anywhere else. Non-runners are laughing at you even if you don't know it.
