It’s a new year in January, and after 20+ years in business I can tell you that budgets reset in January, contracts finalize, and that’s why you don’t see big announcements until then or right before. This is exactly why Brosnan can’t say anything right now. And honestly, this is the only time he’s even hinted at it all the other noise was just LetsRun rumors. It’s not like Brosnan gave this information freely, they were pressing him. Once everything is official in December / January you can all stop stalking him.

ya. totally normal. we always see the new signings only in january. And with 2 different people.
Sounds like Brosnan isn't signed yet, and neither are the two runners. But they're hoping it will all come together. Hope it does. Feels similar to rumors from a year ago. But this is the first time we've heard Brosnan comment, so more positive signs.
I’ve got a 22 hour drive to do this coming Friday, and am going to purchase Brosnan’s new book on audio (releases tomorrow). Obviously a very controversial and polarizing figure here amongst the shining stars that are Letsrun, but undeniably nurtured along some outstanding athletes from two different families. Newbury was a juggernaut here in CA for a few years, and I’m looking forward to perhaps getting a little inside baseball.

Beyond Fast was the real deal. I haven't come across a book like it in a long time, not since Running with the Buffaloes. And this coming from someone who reads everything. It makes sense that Brosnan brought in Chris Lear to help tell his story in that same powerful, gripping way. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations, and I had pretty high hopes going in. It’s a book I could read again.
