There’s a lot in the world to be angry about, but in this post I get the feeling that you are projecting your anger onto things that one easily could laugh about instead. Saying that, Armstronglivs is of course not a perfect human being or poster -neither am I and obviously nor you…

You are correct to place expert in quote unquote, because narcissism is a subjective matter despite its career in an out of Dsm and Icd. But I can launch one central question (among several) Armstronglivs “answers” yes to: Self criticism and not even afraid of using the term “I apologise”. (He f.x made an error in one or two threads where he thought the theme was about 2024 when it was about 2023. -He discovered his error himself, and called it exactly that, and wrote “I apologise”.) Well, you could stress that he could apologise a lot more, and shove some humility, but that could be said about 99% of Lrc posters. And his project is to stir people up a little (which is totally OK), and with all the attacks he meets he clearly and understandably thinks that humility isn’t the right strategy. -It’s almost only “slime bags” like me who have discovered that self criticism can be a weapon that show some “humility” here…

There was something about a young daughter poster (in a Valby thread) Armstronglivs might have criticised or called an idiot or something like that). Well, we should all be a little careful since we might meet 16 years olds without knowing it. But “idiot” isn’t the worst a young person could be named in a learning process -far, far worse for a 16 year old to read the things you and other poster constantly and uncensored throw on the 70+ year old. Not that I care, and neither do I think Arms does. But you are making yourselves unnecessarily small…

You completely ignore the terrible behaviour of your friend. He is not so heavily criticised for having a differnt opinion to some (almost any) subject than the majority.

He is criticised for ignoring any arguments disputing his claims, for never admitting when shown to be wrong (he often is, a fact), for writing the same old stuff dozens or even hundreds of times, for being extremely biased, for often lacking any logic, for not answering concrete questions and so on.

But since you are also ignoring concrete questions regarding this subject (you have done so a few times), you are not so far away from the behaviour of your friend. Just continue with your mission.

The thread was supposed to be about Jakob being crazy lean. It has devolved into a pack of narcissists, led by the increasingly screechy Armstronglivs, calling each other narcissists. Ban all of these closet cases and let them take their obsessions and narcissism elsewhere. Just because.

Thought I’d check in on this thread after posting it a few days ago… Yup just as expected - original topic derailed by he who must not be named.

I think it’s OK of you calling out posters that debate in a way you don’t like. But if this doesn’t help I think it’s strange that you choose to launch a rampant campaign against a poster instead of stressing how you like a debate to be by your own example (debating, not taking the man). And if a poster is so unbearable irritating to you -why not just blocking or skip over him??

I don't think I lead anyone. But I do get followed by posters upset at anything I might say.

I can understand that you think it’s sad and not funny or brilliant that you cannot cope. And I have to add: Your math seems even worse than mine -if I am the only one in the Universe who thinks that was brilliant, and Arms rejoices, doesn’t that make two in the Universe that most likely think it was brilliant?

Well, I did go back to check. And I found that totally OK posters like you and f.x WiseOldMan are a part of the problem, because you blame Armstronglivs for the derailment when it clearly isn’t his fault at all.

Page 1: Posters instantly go off the subject, by only commentating Jakob’s tattoos or the music he listens to. And some are only funny posts. All good by me. Armstronglivs writes one post on this page: “Clenbuterol?” -a clear on topic post. Then this first page ends with a poster who calls him self the un registered Fatstronglivs who replies to “Clenbuterol” in this way: “Not everyone is a lard ass like you”, thus making an off topic insult.

Page 2: Armstronglivs answers, but without returning the insult, on the contrary he writes the on topic: “But there are plenty of athletes who take illegal weight reducing drugs.”

Then Armstronglivs answers another poster, but since that poster was taken down I can’t evaluate it. But the former’s answer seems on topic. The same with a couple of other answers on this page -none off topic attacks from Arms.

Page 3: An un registered poster reacts to Armstronglivs answer to the taken down post on page 2. Arms answer was the somewhat funny: “How many illegal drugs have you taken to get your weight down?” -a fair enough on topic reaction to a poster who maybe brags/ or makes a funny point out of being slimmer than Jakob. Then he gets this from un registered Luzzzzzz Bightyear!!!!!!: “Wow, I haven’t posted in a long time and you are still on here being a bitter old man who has clearly lived an unfulfilling and insecure life. Still being the critic of those who are light years ahead of you. Sad.”

And then it goes on and on with claims about narcissism and derailing. For the most of the reactions Armstronglivs stays on topic, and asks for on topic reactions. But of course he returns some of the insults.

Conclusion: If the mods had deleted the insults and attacks on Armstronglivs on the first pages he and I wouldn’t have needed to defend him, and by that contributed derailing threads…

Let me close with a fun fact: If my memory serves me right (and I don’t mix you with another poster -if I do, tell me, so I can apologise) you called Jakob a sociopath in a recent post. And your only fluffy explanation was that many successfully people are. And you call for deleting of pages in a thread for off topic things! Man…
