Kiplimo is jogging... so easy for him
Kiplimo is jogging... so easy for him
Alex Yee on pace for 2:08, right where he was expecting, I think.
Is it me, or does Kiplimo look like he's jogging?

Marcel Hug and Catherine Debrunner on their way to another great victory in the wheelchair race.
Interesting coincidence about the two Swiss para athletics stars: both were born with spine defects in two small villages located just 4km apart.
7th victory for Hug and 3rd victory for Debrunner! Strong race too from Suzuki in the men’s race. 👏
Great to see a strong Kipchoge today, this is shaping into a fantastic second half
Nothing would make me happier today than if Kipchoge could somehow take the win here. It's unlikely, but I can dream

They covered the halfway mark about 5 min slower than his half marathon time. I’d say.. yes. This is easy for him.
Kipchoge for a M40 World record? Looking much stronger than I expected.

In the broadcast they said she took 4 months off post Olympics. That would put her only training since December/January…not very long for a buildup after that much time off.

She just got a 30k split on the tracker

Okay, they must have just missed her because she does have a 30k split -- she is 1:10 behind the leaders.
Assefa and Jepkosgei lead in 1:35:33 (2:14:23 pace).
Go Kipchoge!! Get the yungins!

Did she really mean she took 4 months off running ? Or, 4 months “easy” before ramping up?

Kipchoge a good shout for podium?
It’s early, but he has his usual confident form. No way we can tell if he’s in over his head until 30km though.
Assefa and JJ out by 1.10 over Hassan. Will have to be special to get them

Both races seem to be slowing down. Is it the heat or the fact the pacers are gone?
Petros wants that PR or record... good on him for pushign the pace. THe rest probably just want to win.
Puma execs creaming themselves over Petros here

That would be Bekele’s current M40 WR if he breaks it.
Petros is gutsy
Cole rolling the dice 5:17 down to 5:12
2:16 finish time pace
