Cranny about to run a 3K less than a week after The Ten. time to put her fitness to the test.
thoughts and prayers
I didn’t realize (or forgot) Tanaka was signed up for this! I’m rooting for her, this format seems like it could be perfect for her. Too bad they don’t have to run three or four events, she would clean up (unless Hassan showed up)
I live 45 minutes from the stadium in Miramar where next month's GST will be.
I am not worried about buying a ticket on event day.
Can’t access a real stream without vpn shenanigans in Australia
Given there is a loot of money going down here surely it would be better to PAY people to turn up and part of the contract is to be loud. Sports survive on crowd passion.
Some of this dead time between races wouldn’t feel so long if the conversations weren’t so dry.
Some of these color analysts are offering zero personality or insight here.
Centro actually saying some intelligent things at the commentary desk.

Not a good sign so far with the crowds...granted, I think a majority of the GST fanbase is in the US, so the Philadelphia, Miami, and LA meets will probably do better. Not many people are taking a vacation to Jamaica on a random weekend April to watch GST for a weekend.
I don't think many locals in Jamaica care about a US-based track league.
Hopefully. Here’s what I don't understand. Jamaicans will fly over in bulk to Penn Relays for high school kids to run fast yet these fans, the coaches and the athletes wont come out to a local pro event that features Jamaican stars.
Grand Slam has been marketed across social media 10x more than Penn relays.
Trumps tariffs were better than this

She will go like a bat out of hell as usual for 2000 meters then fade to last place.

Crowd seems like it's actually filling up a. Little bit? I think Icahn may have appeared packed. Not a great stadium choice.
A very little bit
So far this is terrible. The second a race finishes the next race should be lined up and ready to go. And why not have the first one in a place like Eugene or Europe where you know it will be packed. I wanted this to succeed but this is embarrassing.

CBC is pretty easy with a VPN

There should be a video package after each race to hype up the next one.
Also
I see nothing disruptive in the presentation of this meet.
I expected them to heavily use storytelling with filming and backstories like you saw in Sprint(or even something like American Ninja Warrior).
This is no different than a Diamond League broadcast.
It's worse than a DL
There’s no pace lights, no pacers…. And no crowd.

This meet would be over in no time but I think you'd be right if you were talking about heats at major meets. The 10mins between heats at indoor worlds was killing me.

Good, good, bad.
