The "best" win the big races; the ones that matter. Ingebrigtsen hasn't done so since 2021. Triumphs in the biggest arenas are how all the great champions are remembered: a moment of glory, not a year of consistency. No one would remember Billy Mills were it not for a day in Tokyo '64. This is what Ingebrigtsen has been unable to do over his main distance for several years.
Billy Mills only won once so I don't see your point here.
You have just made it for me. If his victory wasn't at the Olympics no one would know who he was.
Cheptegei is an Olympic champion but a better one than Ingebrigtsen, as his 10k victory showed. But in his specialist events, the 5k and 10k, his records show Ingebrigtsen isn't in the same park. You have to argue world records don't matter - but only in the 5k and 10k, because in respect of the best performances over those distances Ingebrigtsen shows he isn't in the conversation.
Fvck you mean, a better one? They both have 2 Oly golds and chep is like 4 years older. Also when Cheptegei ran his WRs you said it was super blatant doping citing lack of tests during the pandemic. Why are you now defending someone you accused of doping?
Ingebrigtsen is just as likely to be doping - so not much to choose between them there. But that aside, Cheptegei is still the much faster runner over 5k so far. So are 20 other guys.

Since someone gave him the 20, he is so happy to bring it again and again.
Too stupid to give the most easy numbers (here: 18) correctly. He hardly ever has given any correct fact.

And Farah is 50th all time, but somehow that doesn't matter in Armys special world.

Just a few days ago Army was very confidently telling me that the difference between Jakobs and Farahs PB isn't significant enough to be relevant in the discussion for who's better between them. Only problem is that he struggles with numbers and has been thinking Farahs PB is 12:50 all this time, when it's actually 12:53.

Almost all of his comments and predictions are based on wrong facts. When given the correct facts, he never changes his view - never. Even when the new and correct info changes the situation dramatically. There are many examples for this.
He has absolutely no interest in a serious discussion of those subjects. And - I'm sory to say it but it's the truth - he is just plain stupid. Just this not important issue here: he got the info that Ingebrigtsen is no. 20 on the all-time list. But for him, besides Cheptegei, thee are still 20 other runners faster than him. (in fact, he has talked about "much" faster...).
In some way it's hurting to read his nonsense, but it's also entertaining to see him contradict himself on a daily basis.

Only 18? That so much better. Only 18 other guys before he gets near Cheptegei's record.

Farah buries Ingebrigtsen by the measure of championship victories in the 5k/10k. Keep losing.

3 seconds. Huge difference. But not the 13 secs difference between Ingebrigtsen and Cheptegei. Is he getting any closer yet? 3 years with no progress isn't looking that good.

"Serious discussion" is merely the simpering of fans like you. What none of you can accept is that Ingebrigtsen is far from being the athlete you trumpet him as - and nor can you bear to hear anyone say that.
No, he isn't. You do know that the last Olympics were in Paris - where he didn't place in his main event?
Good to know that, according to your logic, John Walker is not an Olympic champion.
Walker is a very good example. He is a past Olympic champion, as Ingebrigtsen is. Ingebrigtsen's 1500 Olympic victories were over 4 years ago. A guy called Hocker buried him at Paris. And so did a couple of other guys. End of the road for Jakob over the 1500. He should take up race-walking. He was practicing for that in the HM.
Ingebrigtsen's 1500 Olympic victories were over 4 years ago.
You are still numerically and mentally challenged. Basic math is too much for you. And your memory is gone. And yet you will find ways to "prove" you are right.
Also Wanamaker mile is about winning not time. Jakob's indoor races are usually about going for some sort of record.... just like his diamond league races. So your future comparison is already disingenuous
Almost every track race that is not a championship or team oriented is about time. This is certainly true of professional indoor races.
I think he just wants his name listed on the trophy a whole bunch of times like lagat at this point. The millrose games is over 100 years old right?

Who is this Armstronglvs guy? sick of this guy after years of interrupting my enjoyment reading about my sport
Hocker, unknown before OG?
Ingebrigtsen on drugs?
This is the useless garbage speak I refer to.
PED allegations should come with a sniff of evidence.
Guys such as MacDaddy, Ramzi, Aouita, Katir were sniffed out via a mountain of athlete suspicions, evidence and with strong inuendo. In the case of Africa, with what 100 busts in a couple of years, sell, at least there is some kind of smoke with the fire when people make their shoot from the hip comments.
What this guy Armstronglivs means, is the Hocker was not known to people to don't know track and field. Pointless.
And that anyone that can run as fast as Jacob is by definition on drugs. Pointless.

Yes, meanwhile he has improved from 3:28 to 3:26, 3:47 to 3:43, 4:50 to 4:43, 7:27 to 7:17, and ran 7:54. Seems pretty good to me!
