My apologies, I misunderstood the aim of your question. I was answering as if you were asking which non-Ivy schools we typically are fighting recruits for, not which non-Ivies we get matches for.

My first post was simply saying if we’re fighting for a top recruit with another Ivy and a P5 school, we’re going to look to price match the Ivy because more than likely we’re already more expensive than the P5 and our only hope of winning the battle is to be on even footing with all other Ivies.

My answer would be slightly different if I understood that nuance of your question better, but we do get matches for non-Ivies. If our admissions/financial aid office considers the school to be an academic competitor, they will provide an adjustment/match. Some have brought up that matches have limitations, so it’s not just a blind $/price matching. They don’t match athletic aid. But it often helps smooth things over for us.

We had a recruit get a price match with Vanderbilt last spring, just to toss out an example.
