But VERY close. Wisco 4 runners together 14-15-16-17. Good coaching, good team effort.
Daelan Ackley pulled it out for the Domers. Finished just ahead of the four Wisco runners and 1.5 seconds ahead their 4th runner. Steury held on. Welcome back to South Bend? Didn't like Eugene, eh?

Wow, I was confused. Coulda sworn he left ND for Oregon, but seeing results thought I was wrong. The ole back n fourth

No, you're not confused. He did leave ND for U of O, then came back to ND. And he has performed much better this year than he did in Eugene.
Given that Wisco ran as a bunch, the only difference might have been a several point reduction from their fifth man who was only 3 seconds back from #1 - 1 second 1-4, 3 seconds 1-5. Of course, Liking could have been right at the top of the finishers but no need.
Big shout out to Purdue for 5th as a team and 2nd individual. Program is on the rise. The new coach this year has done an amazing job changing the vibes and the team is performing well as a direct result. Smart training program and a positive coach makes a hell of a difference!
