The problem with the 1500/5000 double is the schedule. Paris is going to be:
Aug 2, 6:10pm - 5000 prelims
Aug 5, 9:10pm - 5000 final
Aug 6, 10:05am - 1500 round 1
Aug 8, 7:35pm - 1500 semi
Aug 9, 8:55pm - 10000 final
Aug 10, 8:25pm - 1500 final
I think a 5K/10K double would be more accommodating. It might be tough to go all-out in the 5K and then have to run a 1500 12 hours later, even a first round race. It is doable but not desirable.
