The young talent in NY is legit right now. Sykes 9:05, Isenovski 9:09, Thibault 9:12, Tuohy 9:13 all in the same race...three sophomores and a freshman. Plus Cherry 4:19 in the mile with a 9:19 already this season. Crazy how Ryan Tuohy is completely living up to his billing so far and he's only the fourth or fifth best underclassman in the state.

McGinn didn't even make the fast section of the 3200.
While I like the idea of the Super Standard... I hate the side-effect of turning the State Quals into a joke race for the kids who've hit the standard. It's a really bad look.

100% agree. An "auto-qualifier" always seemed like a no brainer to me, but making a kid who has the time run the qual as a formality is stupid.
