Over the last few years she went through late stage puberty stuff. So acne is not a surprise. Should have known the substance was banned because it masks liquid doping though and got an exception
I assume she appealed(?). But it does bug me a little bit that she posts "honest" videos about other topics (mental health, eating disorder, injuries) but failed to just post an honest video shortly after failing the test.
It might not be up yet; her most recent one is about running and life lessons. It's quite good. I am in her corner. She seems honest and genuine.
Xendurance Products: https://shopxnd.com/935632Code: Allie for 15% off!In this video I talk about the biggest life lessons that running has taught me through...
I go back and forth between being frustrated with Allie for not being more careful as it is a part of her job to know what she's putting on and in her body to just thinking USADA is an absolute joke for this ban. what is the point in tainting an athlete like this? ridiculous.
I have no reason to believe she's cheating. She affiliates with good people and hasn't been competitive in years.
Unlike Shelby, Allie was able to reasonably explain where the positive test came from.
I feel bad for Allie. She should be able to compete against people at places like Western States. She should be able to compete and not be listed as a doper by the journalistic sites such as irunfar.com.
USADA popped her for taking a banned substance at a time when she wasn't competing. She doesn't brush it off or make any excuses for it other than explaining the context. I think USADA shouldn't punish people in situations like this (i.e. when they aren't currently competing and it's pretty obvious it's not for a competitive advantage).
I am really curious what the trail/ultra people will say. Particularly Sage, Camilla, and some of the places like irunfar and Trail Society who have come out aggressively against other who have used banned substances.
Allie just put out a fresh video addressing this. My take on it: She should've got a TUE for the medication, and USADA shouldn't have waited so long to write about it.

1) I agree, it is entirely her job to check these things and therefore her fault 2) It's a masking agent. You want USADA to ban athletes taking masking agents. I have no reason to believe Allie is a doper in any way, but you have to be objective. USADA should ban athletes taking masking agents because at the end of the day, we dont know any of these athletes, we are just presuming innocence based on their character, and eventually you'll misjudge someone's true intentions.
It's a tough break, but makes complete sense and if she is as anti-doping as she claims, she'll understand and respect this process too

Since Allie is one of "them" of course they will now spin the story about how this is an "injustice" and Allie is still allowed. Did you really think they cared about "doping"?

it's as much of a masking agent as drinking 3 gallons of water per day
it absolute wrecks testosterone levels and by itself is the opposite of a PED
the 4 month ban is similar to that given for testing positive in-competition for THC; slap on the wrist because everybody knows it's not cheating
This is on the coach (Spencer Brown's friend). He should know all medications she's taking and advise her appropriately. Another reason she needs to leave that duo....just brining her whole career down.

as a coach, i have to agree with you
aside from it being banned without a TUE, it's not something you want to be using as an athlete due to it's adverse impact on the HPTA
