Sorry, I don't follow TikTok celebs or whatever it is that made these people notable in 2023.
Emma Gee is a 26 year old who placed 9th at US Champs this year, and spends her free time arguing with high schoolers in Instagram comment sections, and mislabeling Asian Americans as “white males”.
Nikki [Hiltz] won US Champs 1500m this year, and just broke women’s mile AR last weekend. Our best shot to get a 1500m medal at World Champs next month. She is dating or used to date Emma Gee.
I had to Google Ben Crawford, he is a 23 year old runner who founded this Next Gen track club. His HS mile PR is a measly 4:44. He is trying to make US running more popular and well known.
Ben Crawford is not a runner. I don't think he even ran track in HS

She was calling Ben Crawford and Matt Wisner, the founders of New Gen, white males. Which they are. Also, the photographer runs the @jamarcus.omellow burner account, which is both racist and the source of some of the worst homophobic comments aimed at Emma. Someone who is Asian-American can still be racist. Being some sort of minority doesn't preclude one from holding bigoted views of other minority groups. That should be pretty obvious.
Sheesh. She just went full corporate slideshow about their Instagram post
This is extremely odd behavior. Putting a pic of herself in the slideshow was icing on the cake. Looking like a bad case of narcissism. Ironic that her gf (ex gf?) Hiltz just did a questionable shoot with Next Gen recently.
Fun fact - photographer is a 17 year old Asian American. And Emma Gee is trying to make this a white male oppression thing! Classic case of wannabe SJW and her bandwagoners storming in trying to stir up outrage without looking into any of the details.
So….maybe the 17 year old Asian American photographer needs a lesson in respecting women and how to reply to criticism online?
Ive read the word “expert” and “expertise” in relation to the 17 Asian photographer…at 17 you’re an expert in nothing.
honestly used to think new gen were doing something cool and new. Got turned off after the nuttycombe interviews but forgot about it and came back to some of their content. I now realize my mistake. I think the sport would be better without them.
I posted before that their "fun environmentally friendly company" was a massive SJW company to make sh!tty clothing at high prices while calling it equitable. This confirms it
This is kinda shocking for just 9 months ago. kind of casual homophobia/misogeny you saw 15+ years ago - he leaves out the question words but it's implicit in the question is "[Would it be worse to have] a gay son or (t)hot daughter?"
I think ben crawford is basically a weirdo who went to oregon and got to know cooper and cole there, got to make and post videos of/with them, and has been riding that gravy train and pseduo-celebrity as far as he can (may have ended now)

JFC... for the "new generation" they sure have a boomer sense of humor.
If there are any NCAA SIDs on here, I'd make damn sure the New Gen guys never get credentialed to any meets. Ditto for NCAAs and USATF!
Didn't Ben Crawford at one time run the Oregon track team social media account and get canned? Also was he somehow involved (even though a couple of high school kids took the hit) in the missing head of Legend the WCH Oregon mascot last year? Asking the question.
Wow. This is truly terrible - those photos are awful, but the responses from the creators (and their supportors) are unacceptable. Shout out to Emma for calling them out. I didn't follow the New Gen group (way too old for that) and seeing that this is what's popular with some of the younger athletes is so disappointing.
Accusing people in the community of grooming and pedophilia just based off of "groomer energy" is incredibly baseless. This is very dangerous and I don't see why we should be attacking the people who are pushing this sport forward just based off of the "feel" that you may get from them.

And now the photographer's @jamarcus.omellow burner account is pretending to be Emma. I mean WTF - grow up and bro - just give up this anynonous BS and own it at this point. Everyone knows it is you 🙄 And that NewGen apology was a "sorry, not sorry" non-apology - why even bother? Just makes things worse. For supposed "media influencers" and media experts, this is the biggest, most unprofessional mess ever....
the giving kids booze accusation from another post is obviously problematic if true, but based on publicly available information, the diffference I see between Billy and Ben is that it seems like Billy is hired by actual companies to be a sort of emcee/entertainer at hs meets, whereas Ben is just on his own trying to make himself into this pied piper for high school runners

Yeah I don’t disagree with you. I’m not trying to say all of these guys are exactly the same - they’re each weird in their own way and all occupy somewhat varied positions in relation to the sport my point is more that they’re all problematic and pose a danger to the sport that should be discussed together as whole because of the fact that they target the same demographic through somewhat smilar/overlapping means. Just because they increase popularity and are pushing the sport “forward” is not inherently a good thing - to respond to the other guy. Gotta be careful where we’re going and how we get there.
