Why do so many posts that involve Wiley get deleted on this website?
At this point it is clear that someone has threatened litigation against Letsrun based on comments made on the message board and, despite broad protections under the law that would protect Letsrun from liability in such circumstances, the brojos have decided to just delete nearly all comments adverse to certain interests in response.
Exactly. She ditched CU for HU explicitly for the Johnsons. Once she was canned there was no reason to stay unless she’s actually still coaching her.
The post I quoted was deleted so here is the source I was citing:
In a post on the Indiana Runner message board, Wiley said the decision was hers and that should be enough. “Finishing 5th at U20 Worlds was an unbelievable experience. I didn’t even run my best in the finals but still ran fast enough to contend for the NCAA national title as a high schooler,” her post said. “Why would I want to leave a coach and support network that helped guide me to a national record and a top 5 World finish?“As many of you know I accomplished that working with Lauren Johnson, who has always been a family friend and great mentor of mine. When I got back from worlds I told Lauren I wanted to continue working with her.
“I put her in a very tough position. She supported me going to CU and even helped arrange other school visits for me, but it’s my life and she has always wanted me to be able to decide what is best for myself.”

Interesting! So even if the comments are true based on facts they can still be deleted?

Letsrun is a private site. Brojos can delete comments simply because they don’t like your user name. They have deleted numerous comments on Wiley threads that were factual, cited newspaper articles or court documents, were in topic, and were simply stating facts. There’s something else going on here.
The most talented young female runner since Mary Cain. I have't followed the backstory but it seems like whatever she is doing in her training is working.
If she does make it to Budapest she will likely be racing Ethiopian teenagers with 3:57 PRs. That's just the reality of professional track and it has been for many decades.
Yes. The thread is about her being a superstar. Take all of your weird obsessive posts to the thread about the former coach. We want to discuss America's sweetheart.
Wiley ran 2:10 and 4:46 as a HS freshman. That shows talent. Are you suggesting she was doping at that age? Her trajectory is nothing like Shelby's.
everyone who dopes is talented. No girl running a 6:10 mile in high school chooses to dope. Shelby was a massively talented runner in high school, she won the 400 meter state championship (in 55) and the cross state title in the same year, that's exceptional range. Shelby would have been an exceptional runner without the dope. But she doped, and we are where we are.
Addy is a massively talented runner. She wasn't even running full time, playing soccer and basketball along with XC and track. Had Addy not gotten caught up in this, she would have had a future as a runner regardless. But she did and she is, and as a result her times might have gotten blown up a bit. She can be both talented and doping.

Don't disagree with you. And my point is that same combination of talent plus a little estra can probably be applied to many, if not most, of the women in the final in Budapest. That's the reality of the sport.
Why is there such an effort to protect one individual (she who must not be named) when many other athletes get slandered on here every single day? Why is one treated so special?
