Playing another tiny violin for C Quigley and her 8262nd injury of her career. Good thing lululemon only sponsors her for her looks and doesn’t really care what she does competition wise. I bet she’s just afraid of coming back to competition not in the peak form people remember her for.
tiny violin lol but seriously this is the second time she has shown up at Hayward to make a global team promote it all the way and then suddenly NOT RACE
I must be missing something. She seems like a very competitive high school runner in any event below 5k. And a pretty good 5k and decent 10k runner. How in the world is she running the 1500 at this meet?

Which are barely above average.
I do wonder if there is a bit of a mental barrier here. (No pun intended.)
I will also say that it’s a little strange for her to post repeatedly that people can watch her race via usatf.tv (for a fee), post herself going to the track three hours before the race, and then post that she is not running AFTER the race has already started and people have paid to see her race. If she has the fan support that her contracts count on, that is legit not cool. If your participation is up in the air then at least don’t post so much and lead people to believe you’re for sure running.
I would like to see the W 1500 (Athing!) and 10Ks but hearing a/b the shoddy visuals and announcers is making me really doubt whether or not I want to create a runnerspace user name AND a display name (this registration process makes me think they don't want ppl to watch- major barriers to entry) and fork over whatever amt of money (what is it? bc they don't tell until you are through their entire process.....).

Agreed, was just getting on here to ask if it would be worth it. Do want to see the races live.
There's a 10% discount so it's $11 and change as long as you make sure you pick the monthly option. They are pretty upfront so it's no tricks. You can cancel right away so they don't charge you again and still watch for a month.
The footage actually strains my eyes a bit which actually makes me glad it's being moved over to CNBC/Peacock for the other nights. If you join, do it now. 1500 prelims coming up at 7pm.
